A WLS news update from April 1980, anchored by Diane Allen (before returning to Philly in the mid-1980s)

And here's a promo for this newscast, also recorded in 2005. BONUS: the music theme used between 2004 and 2007, composed by Eddie Sierra.

Argentinian TV news clips from Thursday, February 26, 1998, the day after the band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs won a Grammy award. I'm posting this because at the beginning of each video there are pieces of the graphic packages of the newscasts. Canal 13 Telefe América 2

From France: TF1's opener of the newsmagazine Le droit de savoir (The Right to Know) in 1997.

An opener of Telenoche Investiga, Canal 13's investigative newsmagazine, used between 2000 and 2003.

Discovered composers & publishers of music themes

This Phil Collins song "You Can't Hurry Love" (1983) reminds me of KCBS/WTEN's news theme from the early 1990s (because of some musical notes) -
Nice and modern graphics for 1997!

First 5 minutes of Canal 13's Telenoche from Thursday, August 14, 2003, during the final months of the Mónica and César era. The top story was the Northeast blackout.
-
Probably they'd use the Edd Kalehoff theme. That would be great!
-
Santo Biasatti anchoring an update for Canal 13's late news, back in 2003: The thing that caught my eye the most was the animated glass background: it looks very futuristic. And here's the music theme, that was used for about a year.
-
Larry Carroll anchoring a NBC News special report on Friday, June 17, 1994: the day of the OJ Simpson chase. He worked at NBC between 1993 and 1994 before going to KCBS-TV.

Argentinian TV news reports on the Guns N' Roses concert in Buenos Aires and its controversial visit (from December 1992)

Wasn't his son's name John too? IIRC, he moved from Atlanta to Jacksonville a few years ago.
-
Claire Chazal, a longtime presenter of TF1's weekend newscasts, had a stint with rival France 2 (then Antenne 2) on the late 1980s. Here you'll see her anchoring a morning update during Télématin.

WCVB's 6pm newscast from November 2003, anchored by Natalie Jacobson.
-
Canal 13's opener of its 1pm newscast, taped in 2005. Back then the broadcast focused on "news for the people" and "news you can use", and still had an important reputation because of its consumer segments and analysis.
-
WUSA's 9am news opener from Monday, September 17, 2001. IIRC, during those years the station lost most of its audience to a fast-growing WJLA (who hired both Mo and Gordon).

A short compilation of the bumpers used to rejoin the program after the commercials: The station collected a PromaxBDA Award in 2000 thanks to this beautiful graphic image.

Intro and segment from Canal 13's broadcast of 2000 Today, on Friday, December 31st, 1999. The clip was directed by filmmaker Carlos Sorín and the music was composed and performed by Lito Vitale. And some excerpts of that broadcast, which is seen here from 12:15pm (Buenos Aires time; subtract 2 hours for Eastern Standard Time)
-
Some excerpts of the long-running soccer show Fútbol de Primera from 1998. Take a look at those timelapse views of Buenos Aires (shot in film) and the flashy graphics!
-
Canal 13's final segment of the noon news (includes summary and closer) from Monday, July 14, 1997. That midday newscast moved to 1pm in March of 1998, and expanded to a full hour, where it remains to this day.

Clock and opener of SIC's Jornal da Noite from Saturday, May 22, 2004, anchored by Ana Lourenço and João Adelino Faria (both now at RTP) on the day that Spanish journalist Letizia Ortiz married Felipe de Borbón. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=n-CUwhSzuMQ;t=0

Bizarre promo for Canal 13's news service from 1993, which shows a homeless man sleeping in an alley covered with paper sheets while being ignored by a TV news van. The promo begins at 0:39 and ends at 1:30. I hope this commercial didn't affect the credibility of the station, which was #1 in news back then.

I didn't know that Rick Chambers worked at WAVE-TV. He's been in Southern California for a long time.

You put this here because of Stephen Arnold's Wall to Wall News. PD: I didn't know that WQTV broadcasted baseball games. I imagined it as a smaller station.
