And KIVI/KSAW has the graphics here's the open:

Funny thing we many of us thought Scripps would go voiceover-less with the new opens, but so far the only one who's done that is the pilot station (WTXL)!

    KPHO, Phoenix, 1986:

This was actually a replay of the 9:30pm newscast that aired right before the sign-off, which can be found in this vid:

Also among Mr. Pannoni's uploads today, a full WZZM newscast from 1989:

Plus, take a look inside WTVC in 1983/4:

  3. Two episodes of a rare and short lived NBC daytime magazine show REALlife from 1996. The reason I'm posting this onto here is because it was taped at the studios of WHDH. Joel Cheatwood was also executive producer.

Could anymore enlighten me more on this show? I know it aired on only a few smaller stations and the O&Os.

I see Springer's commentary, and raise you Carol Marin's final 10p.

Yep, she left because of the Jerry Springer experiment, if you look closely during the close, you'll see a cutout of a newspaper article about her departure.

BTW, those two newscasts came from this site, which has a lot more material related to Carol, including a pre-Chicago newscast at WSM-TV!

My question tho is what happened between Dec '89 + Mar '90, was there news still at 9 or was it temporary suspended after acquisition was completed?

The two half hour newscasts at 8 and 9 were still there, mostly likely they were still using the old KHJ graphics & logo and It's All Right Here up until Prime9 launched.

A lot of stations around the country now have .5 and .6 channels. I guess the bandwith has now improved in the past 10 years?
