  1. An episode of ABC's Eye on Hollywood during it's original trial run as a summer prime-time show: KMTV from 1984 with some unknown theme during the bumpers:
  2. A slice of World News Now from June 14, 1994:
  3. More of TVbD in it's prime, as used on KSBW in 1988:
  4. It will be replacing ionTV on WCTV 6.3. Which makes me wonder if adding ion to a number of its stations was just a placeholder until Circle could launch?
  5. Looks like Amanda is keeping the channels lights on, at least for now. TF&GC just uploaded an episode of the Feud:
  6. Anything to say about David Down's sudden death?

    1. TexasTVNews

      TexasTVNews

Well, I've never got to do trades with David, but I feel like I had known him all my life. He was a good Facebook friend and

a huge fan of game shows. David will forever be in spirit and his memory will live on.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to David Downs family.

Rest in Paradise, David. God bless you, and Godspeed.

  7. Ouch. https://deadline.com/2019/12/denise-dascenzo-obituary-wfsb-news-anchor-1202803986/
  8. Here's KPTV from 1983 with the gray Cranston-Csuri graphics and "Eleven Gold" theme:
  9. A very early broadcast of NBC Nightside (it had began 3 weeks earlier) from November 25, 1991:
  10. Some new OKC stuff from Chris Sloan...... KWTV in the later days of Newsline 9: KFOR with their Vance/EGAD look: KOCO with the current logo but still under Gannett ownership:
  11. WAKA from June of 1986 using the generic "NEWS/WEATHER/SPORTS" open used by many smaller market stations at the time:
  12. Compare that to this news promo from WNBC from July of 1992, one of the first days with him. It sounds almost like a completely different person:
  13. Some WNBC commercials from the very first days of the current "4" logo and We're 4 New York:
  14. A clean version of WMAQ's 1981 theme, posted by the man who composed it, Paul David Wilson: Some WPTZ IDs from 1979 & 1980:
  15. I helped jacky9br get the tape this was on, it's WVLA's morning show from April 30, 2001:
  16. Anybody want some retro WRBL?:
  17. Here's some of K-TAB's cleverly named NEWS-TAB from 1993:
  18. Great find! Over 9 hours worth of clips from the Los Angeles TV stations from 1970, most of which concerns the goevernor election. I don't know if there any opens, considering theres over 9 hours worth, but you'll see tons of big names in their early years, like Bill Bonds, Tom Brokaw, Jim Mitchell, Tom Snyder, Bob Abernathy, Clayton Vaughn, along with other mainstays like Hal Fishman, George Putnam and Baxter Ward. Enjoy! https://archive.org/details/car_000096/
  19. Finally we get to see WSJV's Hello News open, using the "squares" graphics package:
  20. WJRT from 1997:
  21. A rare look at KOVR just a month into the switch to CBS, they were still using their last ABC era logo and Non-Stop Music's NewsWatch!
  22. Here's the end of KGW's broadcast day for February 12-13, 1982, which includes an audio only news update, followed by the sign-off itself, with the national anthem used at WOIO/WTGI/WGHP and other TVbD stations (could it possibly from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra?)
  23. A tiny bit of WMTV from November 1996, obviously inspired by WCMH from back then:
  24. Amen to that. I'm glad you're all for younger hipper and experimental newscasts like me. But the majority of this forum (along with longtime station viewers) will probably hate it from day one, cause they all think local newscasts are like the formula for Coca-Cola, in that changing it would be sacriligous and lead to tons of hatetred.
  25. The first bit of WLVI's The News at Ten from December 12, `1992, now using Jim Cutler for VO:
