  1. Lol. At least she will be going to a network where no one cares.
  2. The only way this deal gets done is with Hearst, Graham, Allen, or O&Os getting involved to buy stations in conflict markets. You have to prove that Tegna and Cox won't be the same company. According to the language in the deal currently, it suggests they are. The best thing that Standard can do is Do a full merger of the Tegna and Cox stations and have the companies mentioned above get involved and buy the conflicts.
  3. My point about the Graphics color change is this. I would love to see other CBS O&Os do the same thing even if it is only for Sports or special programming. It keeps the viewer guessing as to what will come next. Maybe even do throwbacks to earlier station packages once in a while. Black and Gold works in Pittsburgh because people associate those two colors with Pittsburgh. It can work in other places too for different seasons, sports teams, culture, and much more.
  4. I will mention a couple of things I believe about KDKA-TV's position in this (due to this being my home market and I watch their news a lot). Why would they change their Identity when they are #1 in every time slot except the morning newscast (which Hearst's WTAE is destroying the other 2 stations) and the 6 PM Newscast (also to WTAE due to the high rated ABC World News Tonight over the CBS Evening News with Norah O Donnell). Even the WPCW 19 local Newscasts are beating the WPGH/WPXI 10 PM Newscast and The National Desk. KDKA also competes with WPGH/WPXI for 6:30 PM viewership over the 2 national newscasts on ABC and NBC (KDKA airs the CBSEN at 7 PM) and probably wins that too. The only thing that needs to change for KDKA-TV is their weekday morning newscast and I hope they will go with a hard news approach instead of a soft news approach. Your Day Pittsburgh is horrible and needs a shake up. I also hope if KDKA does get new graphics like the other CBS O&Os, They will keep its Black and Gold. It actually has made KDKA-TV better (as much as many on this forum hate it.)
  5. Many of the NBC Stations moved "Days" to 3 AM or after the hearing concludes. I'm assuming that the number of FOX stations is the same as eariler. I'm also assuming that many PBS stations aren't carrying this. There were people on Twitter complaining to local stations it was interrupting syndicated programming. I posted this in response.
  6. Who has Kelly Clarkson in Hampton Roads and Richmond. I'm sure WTKR and WTVR would air that. Please no 3 PM newscast.
  7. I actually took that Picture back in May for a Penguins Playoff game. I love that look so much. @RGSJenkins
  8. I will disagree on this for now and believe KDKA-TV will modify it to match the current package when it launches. I don't see them getting rid of the Steelers/Pens/Pirates colors yet.
  9. I loved this version of the 2000 set when WTKR went HD in 2008. This was their best look of the LocalTV/Tribune Era. This is also known as the Pinball Graphics Version 1.
  10. I'm praying we don't see "CBS News Pittsburgh" branded newscasts because the KDKA name is still very valuable in Pittsburgh. Unless CBS wants to give it up completely to Entercom/Audacy (KDKA-AM [100.1/1020 Newsradio] and KDKA-FM [93.7 The Fan]) but I'm probably wrong. I would love to see a refresh of the black and gold graphics from 2020 though with the new look. I do believe if the CBS Owned CW stations get sold to Nexstar/Mission (as I mentioned in The CW being sold to Nexstar board) , The newscasts on the CW stations will move online only for good and Nexstar will replace them with a National NewsNation segment (similar to The National Desk).
  11. Breaking News : WABC-TV News Director, Rehan Aslam, passed away in Ohio this morning. For nearly a year, Rehan had been battling an aggressive brain tumor. He fought with bravery and optimism until the very end. https://www.facebook.com/100044295403305/posts/pfbid02h8nkCLcMZFxJxvNTLV6pEoSC4nmzQe3pCnUvdMy7cCmjnS3CSLo15ZYNeNQEXqyAl/?sfnsn=mo
  12. In my opinion, If Nexstar has enough money to buy the debt caused by The CW, They have enough money to buy out the syndication rights to stop airing "In The Heat Of The Night"/others and air continuous news like every other NEWS network does. Nexstar needs to stop making excuses for moving people to digital and actually get serious about Breaking News because If they don't, Not only will others surpass them, but no one would want to buy NewsNation if Nexstar ever wants to sell it. This is a massive failure from every side imaginable and the person to blame is Perry Sook and his sky high retransmission fees/greed.
  13. It is embarrassing for NewsNation and Nexstar as a whole. The only way it can be saved is if it becomes a broadcast news network. I keep thinking that The CW will become a broadcast feed of NewsNation because of how stupid Nexstar is. Do you want NewsNation to fail Nexstar? Because it is the biggest joke in TV at this point.
  14. Here is Kristen Powers' debut Newscast which aired on WTAE last night. You can also see former WSAZ reporter Tori Yorgey in this newscast as well (the reporter that was hit by a car on live TV).
  15. from Rob Owens Q and A. Q: I have seen some other markets do this and I never thought that WPXI-TV would do so: Is there a particular reason why “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” are changing time slots at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.? Is it because of ratings or any other reason? – Aaron, Mt. Pleasant Rob: I started hearing from viewers about this last week and started asking Channel 11 executives about the change. The station sent out a release on June 27 saying the change was made to better align these programs with how they are broadcast throughout the rest of the country. It’s true that in many markets, “Wheel” airs before “Jeopardy!” and there’s a good reason for WPXI to make that change in its own self-interest: “Jeopardy!” gets higher ratings than “Wheel” on Channel 11 and by moving “Jeopardy!” to 7:30, the goal is surely to try to drive a larger audience to WPXI’s prime-time NBC programming. Beginning July 4, “Wheel” will air at 7 p.m. and “Jeopardy!” at 7:30 p.m. on WPXI. https://triblive.com/aande/movies-tv/tv-qa-why-are-jeopardy-and-wheel-of-fortune-switching-time-slots/ @Superdude
  16. The better question is will those "new" graphics include Move Closer To Your World?
  17. They didn't air the first 2 but I will include them in the list for hearings 3 and 4. To be fair, CBS, ABC, and NBC could move the soaps to Paramount+, Disney+, and Peacock if they wanted too. TBH, I'm actually surprised why the soaps haven't been canceled completely yet, the market is very small for them and many affiliates would want that time for more news anyway.
  18. WTTG's Coverage of Roe vs Wade being Overturned. Fox News Channel needs to learn from this coverage.
  19. Or WPXI could give them up entirely and it would move to KDKA-TV (CBS Media Venues corporate cousin) KDKA-TV would have to give up their 7:30 Newscast and move it to WPCW. I always thought it was weird that Wheel, Jeopardy, and Judge Judy were on WPXI when Pittsburgh has a CBS O&O station that could easily air them as well.
  20. I agree The Final Word can't hold a candle to Sports Showdown. WTAE does an extra Half hour of news on Sunday Nights instead of a Sports show.
