  1. I'd imagine there will be a shift in 11pm viewership with the demise of Colbert. I noticed that when they run a promo for an upcoming news story (like Better Get Baquero), they always say to watch on the specific day at 6am (the hour when the segment will air). Like they don't tell people that the show actually begins at 4:30.
  2. Waiting for them to put Teresa Priolo back in Bianca's slots for just long enough so you think it's permanent before hiring a replacement.
  3. That's interesting. I noticed she hasn't been on, and her IG profile seemed to disappear briefly earlier this week, but it's there now. It doesn't say Fox5, but I'm not sure if it said that before. Update: confirmed.
  4. They've often had Jen Maxfield come in when Darlene is out, but not anymore. Sometimes Gus for Michael.
  5. It seems like they're no longer having someone come in to co-anchor when Darlene or Michael is out from TINY. That's got to be fun, anchoring three hours solo (that assumes they're still doing the online-only half hour at 7; they never mention it when signing off, 2.5 hours otherwise).
  6. Alecia is now on PIX11, saw her on the Morning News this morning. Her Linkedin has not been updated (nor has Zinnia's, not sure where she is, if anywhere).
  7. Alecia Reid has surfaced on the PIX11 Morning News. She was part of the big layoff at CBS2. She's got a page on their website. They're actually running a commercial for her anchoring the weekend news now.
  8. Liz Cho co-hosted Up Close with Bill Ritter on Sunday and at the end Bill said that she would be joining him going forward. So I guess that's the succession plan for that program. Kind of surprised it didn't go to Mike Marza, since he's subbed for Bill in the past.
  9. Michelle, not Jennifer. And I don't think that she HAD TO; she chose to. Part of it was that her mother, who was watching her infant twins, was having issues. And yes, she wanted to do independent journalism and monetize her posts about her kids.
  10. They seem to have cancelled the 5pm news on Saturday even when they don't have a sporting event dring that time. I don't understand how you get rid of someone after 25 years and not let them say goodbye on the air, unless he did something inappropriate, which seems unlikey
  11. That would be a really major downgrade for him, from evening network news co-anchor to morning show co-host (and junior co-host at that, since Rosanna is always going to be top dog). I can't see him doing it.
  12. Yesterday was Curt Menafee's last day at GDNY. Apparently, his wife was still living elsewhere and he was commuting weekly. https://www.fox5ny.com/news/curt-menefee-saying-goodbye-good-day-new-york
  13. Well, that wasn't a good career move.
  14. Wow, if PIX11 was going to replace a sports anchor, I would have thought it would be with Andy Adler, who left her job in Texas last year and is apparently back living in New York.
  15. Honestly don't understand why they don't promote from within for stuff like this. Gotta be pretty disheartening for the reporters. I guess going to the network is what they aspire to.
  16. I guess they had to give him something to do. Didn't they bring him in to anchor weekdays? Elaine is definitely gone and back to the network. A CBS2 reporter confirmed it in a PM on IG.
  17. Yes, I came back to point out that Lisa was on today and also did not say "in for" in her intro. And yes, they never should have gotten rid of Andrea, and Elaine was an odd choice.
  18. It appears that Elaine Quijano has left the weekend morning anchor slot and moved back to the network, and Jenna DeAngelis has gotten the job. Or at least she's been on for three weeks and isn't saying she's "in for" anyone. Or it could be that she's got the job until they bring someone else in.
  19. Just saw it on IG and came here to say that it definitely did not seem to be her choice ("some goodbyes are hidden blessings and nudges towards something new" and "I am no longer with Eyewitness News"). It's odd, since she was doing some anchoring. I wonder if something happened.
  20. Eva Pilgrim got the job. She obviously left ABC after they reworked GMA3 and started using regular GMA hosts. They've been running promos welcoming him to the team, including one with Jessica Moore. Seemed odd, I haven't seen that sort of welcome on other stations.
  21. Raegan Medgie posted on IG that she has left WABC. Unclear if it was her choice or theirs.
  22. Yeah, but he said he wanted to get home for dinner with his family. It's a longer trip now that they're downtown.
  23. They should get rid of David Navarro, let Bill do 4 and 5, and put Mike at 6 and 11. But that's not happening.
  24. I'm guessing that getting up at 2am for the morning news was probably more enjoyable than having to deal with the Adams mess right now.
  25. For those who remember her, Kayla Mamalak (now Altus), formerly a morning reporter at Fox5, is now Mayor Adams' press secretary. She had been deputy but when she came back from maternity leave recently, she was promoted. You can hear her telling reporters that they're not going to discuss other stuff in Friday's press conference. Talk about an unpleasant job to have right now!
