  1. Must be freelance, since he Instagram and Twitter profiles say ABC News and CBS2.
  2. That was a great show. Much different from the other sit-down shows.
  3. FWIW, Bill Ritter corrected someone on FB who claimed that WABC dumped her and said that it was her decision. Meanwhile, no announcement of a replacement.
  4. Seems odd that they would have to show them on a Sunday, which they never do. And the local news shows were back this week.
  5. Seems like Up Close With Bill Ritter, which used to air at 11am on Sundays, is no longer on the schedule (it was not on today and is not on my Verizon guide for next week). Same for the show with (I think) Joe Torres that used to follow it. Not sure if it's going to be available for streaming, but there's nothing on the program's website, and Bill has not responded to a tweet I tagged him in.
  6. If what they did for the early morning news is any indication, they'll probably let it drag on for weeks or months, with Teresa and maybe others filling in without making it official. Then they'll either find someone more "diverse" or give in and give it to her.
  7. Yes, would love to see Christina come back, but she seems to have disappeared. If Teresa gets it, it would be a great rebound from when she was foolishly dumped from the early morning news.
  8. I read some comments online from people who were excited about this year's mix. I'm not (didn't even look at the entire list), but given that it's now on Disney+, I wouldn't be watching it anyway.
  9. Teresa has been in for Lori the last couple of days with Steve and 5 and 10pm. Teresa has also been doing the 6pm rather than Steve taking it. Seems odd, given that he's a regular, and she's the sub (although not for that time slot). Either they don't think he's a good enough interviewer for the 6pm show, or they just feel like they need to have a female anchor then to attract viewers (or he's got a good contract). BTW, of Steve, Lori and Teresa, I choose Teresa every time so having her do 6pm is fine with me, but it just seems odd to me.
  10. I think that she was subbing on weekdays for a while. She also had some tennis matches and trips to the Cape on the weekend according to her IG page.
  11. According to Wikipedia, he was at ABC from 2011-2014, then back at WPIX. His Linkedin isn't complete, just shows WPIX. The WPIX website says "Previously, John co-anchored PIX11 News at 6 and “Midday with Muller,” the station’s first-ever digital-only broadcast." so maybe the digital broadcast was where he was while MIA.
  12. He's like Rodney Dangerfield -- no respect. Also, hadn't he disappeared for a while between being dumped from evening to resurfacing in the AM? Or was that the 6pm period?
  13. Dana Arschin has left the station and TV news. She had been saying on IG that she would be back from maternity leave this week, but a post today said that she will miss her Fox5 family, and it turns out that she has joined the Holocaust Memorial. & Tolerance Center of Nassau County. This is a great job for her as it's been her passion for a while and close to home, but yet another good reporter that they have lost. Details on her Weebly page, she hasn't updated Linkedin yet - Dana Arschin - ABOUT DANA (weebly.com)
  14. Happy to see Alexis Christoforous reporting on the local newscast for ABC News, but they really need to teach their anchors how to pronounce her name. More than one has gotten it wrong.
  15. I never understood that. Either Rosana didn't want it or Bianca had a really good agent.
  16. So, it turns out that she's pregnant. Not sure if it's the main reason for her switching jobs (I'm sure that better hours probably factored in), but I know from having chatted online with another rFox5 reporter who had a child not long ago that they (or maybe their union contract) does not have a generous maternity leave (apparently Fox News is much better). I'm sure that NYC has a much better policy.
  17. She ended up in Atlanta. Her IG now says "@wsbtv Anchor-Reporter "
  18. Care to go back and see what he said when Brittany joined the station? He's not going to be able to say if someone is leaving, so that's really the only answer that he can give. But we'll see. PIX11 does morning news until 11am and Chris Cimino is the co-host of the 10-11am show. In fact, he wasn't even on the early news today, but was on the 10am show.
  19. And Lee Goldberg just posted a welcome to Dani Beckstorm, whose FB page says that she's joining WABC from Las Vegas. As when Brittany joined and Amy subsequently left, odds are that someone will be leaving in the next few months.
  20. Update -- he was back last night.
  21. Kayla Mamalak posted on social media that she is leaving WNYW (and TV news in general) to become deputy press secretary for Mayor Adams.
  22. Jennifer Bisram posted a farewell to PIX11 on IG and said that she's taking the summer off but will be back elsewhere. Related to Candace McCowan leaving WABC and their needing a replacement? Of course, there have apparently been a bunch of News12 folks who quit recently and would be candidates to replace both.
  23. Kirstin Cole posted a farewell and said that she was moving closer to her family.
  24. I hate spunk! (Sorry, I just had to)
  25. Does anyone know where Arthur Chi’en has been? He hasn't been anchoring the weekend news for several weeks now. They have reporters taking his place. You seem to be a big fan of hers. Seems like she'd be looking for a weather job since she recently got her meteorology degree.
