I can’t believe it. KCBD is now the final Gray station to have LIM4.1. No update on when it will get Gray graphics. Limerick will continue to live on via Lockwood’s WFXG for the forseeable future.
Don’t forget KAUZ they haven’t gotten the new graphics yet either.

KOKI has had a lot of ownership turnover in the last 20 years.Yep sadly.

I'm a bit surprised Gray isn't going for some of those monopoly stations. They'd be a better fit for markets like Pocatello, Yuma and Greenville, especially since they can tie those stations to sister stations in surrounding markets. Maybe they will make a later deal?
I’d be okay with Nexstar getting KOKI but last time before COXMedia got them and Newport was selling them Nexstar said they didn’t want to buy FOX23.

Oh good lord our station here in Tulsa can’t get a break from Clear channel to Newport to Cox now to INSP…..

Updated. I’m thinking KSWO is next.
Honestly KSWO should of switched when they switched the weather’s instead of doing what they did.

I have a question even though this has to do with some CBS O&O’s getting the branding but why did 2 Hearst stations (WESH and WPBF) switch from First Alert to First Warning?

Tucked away in some cabinet at my parents house is a stack of 35mm film photos of me sitting on this set in 1997 when I was a 9 year old obsessed with TV weather. Got to hang with then-weekend met Jon Slater for the afternoon and 5pm news. Good memories.
I never got to see 8’s in person but have seen 6’s old set when Jim Giles was alive and the Chief.

All the stations have rebranded the CBSN names to CBS News (then city or state) but no new graphics.

Oklahoma’s “no non-competes” law really does help talent wreak havoc on their stations when they just pick up and cross the street and I’m here for the drama.
I honestly think it just depends on the contract conditions when Clint left he couldn’t announce where he was going until the contract was up so I think his contract was done at the end of December since that’s when he announced where he was heading. Kinda like when Mike Collier left 8 he wasn’t actually supposed to be on air for another week but KJRH said screw it kicked Brett Anthony out during severe weather and had Mike go on.

Update on Clint Boone he has joined KOTV replacing Kendell Smith who’s with FOX Weather and Sawyer Wells who left the station yesterday to become a doctor (His replacement starts soon from what Sawyer told me). Clint rejoins Travis Meyer who was his boss at KTUL in the mid 2000’s he will be on weekends starting next weekend.
One more update Megan Gold is the second meteorologist for KOTV’s weekend team she will be on the Weekend Mornings while Clint will be Weekend Evenings they both started at 6 yesterday. Megan is fresh out of school from OU and was part time at KY3 in Springfield so she’s no stranger to Oklahoma.

It will be a bit before they probably switch same with the ex-Meredith stations.
