I’m not too big on JC. He just doesn’t really suit the weekday slot.
I didn’t mind Patrick being a fill-in for the last year, Michelle has been doing a good job with mornings even after Andy and Zoraida left she’s keeping it up!I agree with the part that Management might as well place Patrick back in the 4 and place him on the 5 (A Mark Suppelsa type of move maybe)

What if they hire from outside? I wonder if they’d do that for a lead. The only time in recent memory was when Ron Magers left channel 5…
I think it was John Drury they hired from outside for a 2nd stint at 5 & 10 in '84. Ron was hired from outside only for the 5pm, but was promoted within for the 10pm after 4 years in 2002.

And I’m not really a fan of JC's anchoring either. It Just doesn’t click with me….

And as we’re down to 7 days, Alan Was given Recognition for his 4 decades in the ABC Disney family at a ceremony in NYC. Jim was also in attendance.

I wouldn't be mad about it, as long as he gets a weekday spot.
Baichwal really does deserve a weekday position. He actually PAID his dues.

It seems to me it will be a massive snub if its not given to Ravi
For real. It seems that the male weekend anchors at ABC 7 are forgotten about for promotions apparently.

Ravi, he deserves the weekday promotion, seeing as he's been there the longest and is another true professional.
Ravi has been LONG OVERDUE for a weekday promotion after his first 10 years there everyone was suspecting he’d get the 4pm when Magers was retiring.

Lets hope this good find is a good fit. Besides, Those morning anchor chairs have changed anchors twice as much since the reassignments of Ellee Pai Hong and the Late Dick Johnson 14 years ago.

Good find. Definitely interesting timing on this.
Let’s just hope the viewers don’t have a hissy fit
. You know how it goes when they hire someone born in the city from another news town

Looks like Patrick Fazio is off the morning shift and will only be on at 11am with Marion Brooks.
Let’s be real now, remember how they waited nearly a year to hire a 4pm anchor to co-anchor alongside Marion (Patrick). He wouldn’t be the first person to be an interim for nearly a year in the morning or any other newscast at NBC 5.
Also his bio on the website never confirmed permanency of Patrick on the morning newscast.
Quick fact: Currently no one has been able to break Sambolin's record of long-running morning anchor at NBC 5.

Jim did great as interim 11am anchor years back! So he’s a perfect match!

As a result of the new 9am newscast being anchored by the regular morning team, Ed Curran and Robb Ellis are the new 11am team.
So now that Ed Curran is back at 11am, are they potentially looking for another hire?

So, the first TV listings of the new fall season are out, and there are a few notable changes on the WGN schedule. Despite the show wrapping production, I'm shocked that a rerun slate of Maury isn't included in the afternoon block. Instead, Lauren Lake's Paternity Court (yikes) slots in at 2pm. The biggest surprise, though, might come at 3pm, as Friends reruns return to weekday, daylight hours for the first time in forever. Personally, that programming decision feels like a placeholder move, but what do I know?
There hasn’t been a court show on WGN since Judge Jeanine Pirro which was taped at NBC tower years ago!

The only person I think NN has in their New York side is Tom Negovan (former WGN News At Noon Anchor)

I took some time out to catch on the 4pm and finally seeing that CBS 2 not only uses the “Swinging” cut of “The Enforcer” package for “NonStop News” in the morning but also being used for “Four Stories At Four”

The logistics of summer scheduling are so much fun.
And with Stacey Baca preparing to sign off in the next few weeks they’re probably looking closely between Jordan and Nagy maybe. Let’s not forget the last female who anchored weekend Mornings on ABC 7 I believe was Judie García.
