The new studio will not be street-side in the way it currently is.
As wabceyewitness said, the move is planned for this month. Not sure what the latest plan is, but in the absence of unforeseen problems, I would expect the new studio to debut beginning with the weekend broadcasts.
Well, the new graphics package debuted over the weekend, who knows, maybe the studio's will too.

Interesting to see Kristine Johnson anchoring a CBS News Special Report on the DC plane crash shortly after 10:34 last night. Then Dick Brennan did the local tease at around 10:58, but Kristine anchored the local news solo, with Dick reporting from the newsroom. (Jessica Moore was already in DC specifically to cover the RFK, Jr. nomination hearing, which turned into covering the federal funding freeze and reversal, which then became reporting on the crash.)
Apparently, it looks like the CBS Special Reports will be done by CBS News 24/7 correspondents and not Maurice and John. Maybe Kristine will do these late ones since there probably won't be any anchors there after the Daily Report ends. Of course, it's just my guess, let's see what the next ones will be like.

CBS has Tony Dokoupil on the ground (so much so that he anchored Mornings and Special Report today).
I believe that he will be the one to go live from there, since the focus is on field coverage led by correspondents. (Maybe with Margareth?) -

Does the streaming version of the CBS Evening News also debut today?

I saw it on X/Twitter, I don't know if we can trust it. But it looks like this is going to be the new set for the CBS Evening News

Tom's busy with "Top Story" on the streamer while he waits for Lester to retire. No way he left his gig at ABC to not eventually get the Nightly News chair.
I would imagine Savannah might try Nightly if Lester retired. But everything points to Tom Llamas being Lester's replacement.

I know we're on a special schedule due to the holiday, but Gilma Avalos had a very long day today. She presented the news at 11am, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm.

Gayle King hosted the Christmas show solo and I actually like the idea of doing a one-person show given the pre-recorded nature of the Christmas broadcasts. Somehow has a more intimate vibe.
And the next day, we had Nate Burleson solo as well. I found it quite curious, given that ABC and NBC had their traditional team. On Mornings Plus, we had the Adriana-Tony duo as usual.

Craig Allen is back and doing the evening weather forecast. Will Elliot be back for weekday mornings?

I didn't know Erika Gonzalez left KDVR Denver last month.
Less than 5 minutes ago, I learned she joined my CBS/CW duo, WFOR/WBFS Miami. She's doing mornings and is back in her hometown.
What happened to Keith Jones? I've been noticing that they've been alternating anchors between Teri Hornstein and Austin Carter.

Did not expect to see "national weather correspondent" Rob Marciano doing the weather this morning. No mention of John or Tony that I noticed (though they often don't acknowledge when half of the weather team is out)).
John did the weather forecast this weekend morning, maybe he's off. Rob was also at noon today.

So with the Weekend News moving to 57, do we foresee renovations to 47 to eventually bring the Evening News back to its longtime home?
Well, previously The Daily Report started its headlines from studio 47 and today they started from 57. Probably the CBS Evening News will return to 47. I had some expectation that they would do the CBS Evening News from studio 1515, like they do for election coverage.

From what little I've seen, Plus seems to be the more traditional format. (It had headlines at the beginning)
