I'd probably feel it'd be more likely if it weren't for having WJZ in nearby Baltimore.
Also would Tegna unload it's flaghip?

Well there is the WHDH/WLVI duo as an example of an indie/CW pairing.
Since Gray made a big deal over airing some Braves games you might as well go for all of it on the old WTBS.

Yeah, it's getting common. In DC, WTTG, has the FOX 5 Live Zone from 12-2pm, the only 2 hours between 4am-7:30pm where they don't have local programming over the air. Reminds me of how KTLA had 5 Live to fill in time online when they still aired syndicated shows in the daytime.

In more news, the pricing for ESPN's direct to consumer service is out:
$29.99/month or $299/year for everything ESPN (all the ESPN-owned channels, all the sporting events on ABC, ESPN+).

With Connoisseur buying AlphaMedia, there's a rumor they may be interested in the Cox radio stations:
Cumulus may even be one of their targets. Is Cumulus that poorly off that a small fish like Connoisseur can gobble them up?
In fact, it was Connoisseur that sold off stations (all of them?) to Cumulus in the 90's consolidation binge.
But back to CoxPollo, a sale like this could make the TV sale a little easier if there are willing parties in the faster circling drain that is the radio industry. As long as it's not EMF or some god-caster.
Then they might have to sell stations on Long Island since it's a virtual monopoly of all the Nassau/Western Suffolk County-based FM stations.

On that note from the thumbnails in the video archives I see that Colleen Sullivan is now regularly anchoring 11am instead of Jovana Lara.

The only time ABC has made any tv station transactions since 1985 was buying (and later selling) WTVG and WJRT. I doubt they showed any interest in WPLG.
In any case, I'm getting the feeling what's happening here is gonna be more common in the years ahead.

That would mark a return for the Stars on both stations: KDFI was the Stars’ local over-the-air broadcaster from 1995 to 2000, while KDFW carried Fox-televised games featuring the team from 1995 to 1999 via the network’s NHL package.
In fact, the last ever NHL game on Fox was Game 5 of the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals, where the Stars won (the infamous cup-clinching Game 6 was on ESPN).

And it looks like Tony Cabrera will be replacing him on weekend mornings. (And the 6am hour on weekdays, while Leslie Sykes is away.)
And with Carley Gomez joining the station for weekend nights, Shayla Girardin moves to weekend mornings. That's probably it for Tony doing weather, at least for the forseeable future.
