I wouldn't be surprised if this transferred to other Gray markets; it already has in Nashville, Louisville, and Greenville/New Bern/Washington, while Charlotte and Roanoke have lifestyle shows.  I think that Gray's ultimate goal is to eliminate syndicated shows and go all-local when the networks are down.  That may take awhile; I know of Gray stations that have Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!,  and some, like WIS Columbia, SC, and WWBT Richmond, have Entertainment Tonight.  Obviously, the contracts for these shows have to expire and I can't tell you how far into their contracts each station is.

Another example I see is that on WXIX in Cincy (a Fox station) they only have 3 hours of syndicated programming between 4:30 AM and 7PM, followed by Wheel and Jeopardy.

And KVVU (Fox in Vegas) now has only 2 hours of syndicated shows from 4AM to 7:30 PM.

So yeah, I do see the endgame for the larger Grey markets is to go all-local programming during non-network time.

Come to think of it, did KNBC ever officially replace Daniella Guzman after all these months?

    Nope.

And to think KCBS and KABC also has had weekday morning anchor turnover in the past year, and they were resolved a lot quicker.

  3. DC:

WRC: The post-Days/post-Ellen early afternoon lineup is 12pm: NBC News Now, 1pm: Access Daily, 2pm: Kelly, 3pm: Dateline. So unlike the other O&O's they didn't move Kelly to 3pm. And Days aired at 1pm.

WTTG: A late-morning spinoff of local 7pm show Like It or Not airs at 11am. Then it's Sherri at 12pm and Jennifer Hudson at 1pm. Just like in Orlando, I still see Nick Cannon scheduled, staying at 2pm. Tamron Hall, which aired at 1pm, is now on at 2pm on WDCA.

WJLA: The first half hour of Drew Barrymore stays at 3pm while the second half-hour is at 1:36 am. Daytime Jeopardy will air at 3:30.

    WUSA: No changes.
