AndrewPollard_ 6
You can see a glimpse of the set—IMO it looks hideous, complete with exposed brick—on CBS This Morning's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CBSThisMorning. Perhaps it will look better on air...but I am doubtful. Were you looking for a brighter looking set? who?cares 254
Russ Mitchell and Rebecca Jarvis said goodbye to the 5th Avenue studios this morning. Rebecca also told Russ goodbye as they reflected on Mitchell's career, and the history of The Early Show at the General Motors building. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7393410n Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11449-cbs-early-show-changes/page/3/#findComment-70357 Share on other sites
Daybreak 288
I have to say, it was a bittersweet moment in going back to the CBS Broadcast Center and also saying goodbye to Russ Mitchell. They should have let him do weekdays because he is an excellent journalist that is under worked. Good luck Russ. lazynetjunkie 34
Is there anyone here that works for the Early Show or anywhere in the facilities that knows specifics..? I'm not trying to get info on the new show or anything of that sort. I just want to find out what from the now old GM building studio set is being trashed, moved/reused/repurposed at the broadcast center, or being sold off. Alot of the set decor and interview chairs are nice and would hate to see it in dumpsters.. qunewsguy 377
I've seen bits of the lower third format and the new graphics seem fairly forward-looking for CBS News. The colors are bright, the overall look is modern and clean. The font you see in the new promos is what will be on the lower thirds, though for some reason the network wants the locally-generated time/temp bug to be in Courier New. Daybreak 288
CBS has already put a promo up for CBS This Morning earlier today. I thought it was a good ad. http://www.facebook....?v=874906603017 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11449-cbs-early-show-changes/page/3/#findComment-70425 Share on other sites
C Block 1566
I also saw a different promo late last night on KPIX. It has Charlie, Gayle, and Erica talking in front of the set, and it is specifically tailored for the San Francisco market.
