WABC already uses Eyewitness News on Twitter- as their actual name. Their @ is "EyewitnessNYC" ... But they did change their Instagram to "ABC7NY"

Thank you for proving my sanity!

Here's something interesting- their Facebook name might be "WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News" but they recently changed their Facebook web address to "Facebook.com/ABC7NY" ... I think they must be working on a web rebranding ... So far Facebook & Instagram have been rebranded... Twitter might be an issue because if the change their handle, their verification status is automatically removed, and they would have to wait to be reverified.

Hey. Go to http://abc7NY.com. Guess where that gets you!

I read their minds.

September is coming to a close and while I thought at least the new opens would debut by now, I would be really surprised if they don't debut them before November sweeps. We will see...

A very interesting new top stories graphic and cue just played at the bottom of the 5pm hour. It even had the new logo. Could it be a preview of updated graphics, TBA.

Was this at 5:30? I'm going back on my DVR now to get video.

If this is what the new graphics are based on, I would be very pleased.

It is certainly not part of the current graphics package, so I would say that I am 99% sure this would be the general design of new graphics... hopefully coming soon!

Here is the new WABC Top Story graphic, with new ABC7 logo, which aired at 5:30 pm today.

CBS knocks off NBC Look F and WABC knocks off Scripps? Well at least the latter is fitting as the majority of the Scripps stations are ABC affiliates.

I don't think that it looks like Scripps at all... I just compared it to WEWS, and it looks completely different.

I agree with NewserNYC, I don't see any similarity.

The tease before 4:30 was cut off, and the 4:30 open had a problem to start, and included "4:30 Open" title in blue for a second before it played. A little technical troubles that's all.

That's not a very well done graphic. The animation is basic and not smooth at all. I'm thinking it was done in-house. Would be extremely shocked if that was done by a graphics house.

It's actually similar to the ABC World News graphics- the 3D box package... Looks too intricate to be done in house

I have to disagree and frankly say I don't think it looks anything like the World News graphics. I think it was just a special done in house. From anything we've seen so far, the new graphics are more likely to be like the new top story cue.
