ABC really had no other choice than Muir. It's not that they don't have the depth, but they've already lost Tapper and Cuomo and don't want to lose Muir, too. He's been surprisingly vocal on Twitter over the Nightline time change, but one has to question if there's a better offer out there (outside of local news).
