24994J 5629 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I was just looking up their set, and found this. Who thought this looked good???
BehindNYNews 147 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I was just looking up their set, and found this. Who thought this looked good??? That table is very weird. They should get a table like The View has for the Table Talk segment.
anchorman 96 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Was there talk of WPIX hiring a sports reporter for weekdays or is Scott doing to do sports to? Dyrol Joyner is on tonight doing the sports report. I would be content with Scott doing sports. Invest that money in other resources.
nynewslover 280 Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 I like the fact they use different background skyline images now instead of just 42nd street. Also tonight they have Scott and Tamsen standing behind the anchor desk instead of sitting.. Kinda dumb
knightofni 2 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Anyone watching tonight's shows? The spelling mistakes have been atrocious. It's even a big problem in the morning. Do they not proofread at PIX?
Chopper4 36 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I try not to read the ticker tape, so I don't get annoyed by spelling mistakes. PIX has been pretty bad in that department since they changed format, when Jim and Kaity were replaced. They must have cut on the behind the scene staff, or the bright people left PIX 11.
Dk_mediaNYC 30 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 with the new promos will there be there new opens and graphics? hope so!
Geoffrey 873 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If you had PIX 11 in the "Who's Going To Stay With The Paramus Mall Shooting Longest?" pool, you win! Shocking.
Guest NewsHound Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Looks almost KTLA-ish, I dunno about the new slogan though... "Where Every Story Hits Home."
Weeters 1969 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Looks almost KTLA-ish, I dunno about the new slogan though... "Where Every Story Hits Home." "Every Story Hits Home" sounds like the slogan for an actual respectable news organization, not one that covers "ad overload" at a sports arena.
24994J 5629 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I'm convinced things are really beginning to change at WPIX. I watched the first portion of tonight's 10pm election coverage, and I must say, it looked and felt like a legit newscast. Stanford still seems a little wet behind the ears, but Fadal is really thriving with a co-anchor. As for the content, this was clearly a no-frills, to-the-point broadcast. Perhaps it was a little basic, but it was a complete departure from the product they were putting out just months ago. It's going to take time, but I'm rather impressed with the new new new WPIX.
tvnewsjunkie 7 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 tonights intro with the voiceover "PIX 11 Special Coverage with Tamsen Fadel, Scott Stanford and the PIXs 11 News team" sounded really good.
NYNewsCoverage 308 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 These promos that WPIX has been airing aren't bad. It's a huge improvement to the hideous graphics they use now. I hate the current opens. I wonder what music would work if PIX11 used these graphics for their opens.
abric 181 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I will bet sometime in the new year the graphics in the promo will be in the newscasts along with a new package for the news and the weather.
