mark 55 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I'm glad he landed somewhere but that's a big drop. I thought Shiba's drop was big from NY to ATL but Chris is way bigger. His former co anchor Jessica left KARK there for KYW and he's going there ( KATV). Either markets don't mean nothing any more or the bigger markets are not hiring them. Even Rob is going down a lot of markets but for some reason I don't see it as a demotion compare to the other two. Best of luck to him. He's a Little Rock native, so I would imagine market size doesn't mean as much to him as returning to his hometown. Seems like a great deal for KATV to get someone with his talent AND a history in the market/at the station. 3

brianpr3 178 Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 not to sound wrong but what does KYW have that jagoff creeps keep stalking their female reporters? http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2016/5/27/stalker-says-hes-not-going-to-stop-harassing-reporter in good news regarding Erika von Tiel her stalker is going to prison for 2.5 to 5 years http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2016/5/27/philly-anchors-stalker-is-headed-to-prison http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20160527_TV_anchor_s_stalker_gets_up_to_5_years_in_prison.html 1
Eat News 4745 Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 not to sound wrong but what does KYW have that jagoff creeps keep stalking their female reporters? KYW and all the others have made it super easy and convenient to stalk reporters via social media. "If you are dressed like that then you are asking for it" If TV stations keep pushing employees to play this crazy social media game then someone IS gonna get hurt or killed. 1
Action Newsroom 1299 Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 KYW and all the others have made it super easy and convenient to stalk reporters via social media. "If you are dressed like that then you are asking for it" If TV stations keep pushing employees to play this crazy social media game then someone IS gonna get hurt or killed. This is absolutely accurate. Many female anchors and reports all have the similar styles of dress--literally a dress. Their looks, dress style and demeanors on air make them vulnerable to creepos to contact with them in any way. And this was a thing years before social media became a way of life. And now that it is, it's even easier. And scarier. And the "you were asking for it" excuse is paper-thin, but sadly gives the sickos a leeway into the women they are following. These recent examples from KYW are just the tip of the iceberg, but are still alarming on their own. This needs to addressed in bigger places. The stations need to tone down the social media aspect for their employees, because another female anchor will get hurt if or even worse. And it can and will happen to male anchors too. 1
jb542 13 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Will CBS3 be getting the new o&o graphics or will they keep the regular look? 5
groupwfan 97 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Will CBS3 be getting the new o&o graphics or will they keep the regular look? Knowing 3, they'd modify the O&O GFX. 2
PAnderson1 27 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Knowing 3, they'd modify the O&O GFX. They'd mess up the music as well (using the morning cut of NG4 at night doesn't work)
groupwfan 97 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 They'd mess up the music as well (using the morning cut of NG4 at night doesn't work) hey, it works for 3. (They're trying to distance themselves from being WCBS' "twin")
LVForward 94 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 They also seem to be trying to distance themselves from news. Eyewitness Features. The difference between CBS Local O&O's approach to news and that of CBS News - especially CBS This Morning is striking. At least here in Philly we get all that fluff & stuff from KYW now, while we get serious journalism and "More News." from the network. Does the B in CBS now stand for Bi-polar? 5

Maybe their goal is to bring back PM Magazine lol
LVForward 94 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Maybe their goal is to bring back PM Magazine lol That would only work if one of their "notables" would return too - Maury Povich, Ray Murray, Richard Bey, or even Jerry Penacoli. 1
Bars-n-tone 39 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Maybe their goal is to bring back PM Magazine lol That's Evening Magazine, you heathen. 3
Bars-n-tone 39 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Will CBS3 be getting the new o&o graphics or will they keep the regular look? Keep an "eye" out. Very very soon. 1
jb542 13 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Keep an "eye" out. Very very soon. Do you work at CBS or something? Haha
bhratbrat 437 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 I think they have the KYW signature now integrated
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 I think they have the KYW signature now integrated We discussed this a few pages back when this open debuted. It's only for the morning show. 1
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Does anyone have the new open? I'll post it after the show is over.
PAnderson1 27 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I'll post it after the show is over. It was a breaking news open today.
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 It was a breaking news open today. Yeah. Maybe at 5 today.
Action Newsroom 1299 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Its 5:00. That open is great. Fits in great with everything the other stations are doing. 1
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Here we go: They're no longer using the morning cut of Enforcer for opens and there's actual city footage in the open and not some still picture composited over some stock sky animation. Also they're now IDing individual newscasts. They had gotten away from that for awhile. Big improvement for them.
