WOI to relaunch as Local 5 News

Nexstar is relaunching Des Moines WOI as Local 5 in January. Along with the name change comes a new set, and new staff. They have more in their press release.

That logo would be ok if the ABC logo were a bit smaller. And I wonder what Stephen Arnold package they will pick up.

They seem to be shoehorning it into the same space as the WATN and new WVNY logos. Looks awkward but better than anything Citadel ever did.

Finally. Not sure what music they'll be using but considering it looks like WVNY's logo they may copy that look and use Aerial. But I'm hoping they will use Inergy for WOI. At least that's what my instincts tell me...

I'm not sure who WOI's new voiceover guy was after the 1/5 relaunch, but he has already been replaced by Charlie Van Dyke. It's good to hear that voice around here again!
