WXmanTim 88 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 The Evansville Courier & Press ran a Sunday feature story about the upcoming (re)launch of the station's news department. Article includes photos of the news set and interviews with the main anchors. http://www.courierpress.com/news/local-news/wevv-readying-young-news-team-for-tristate_40372311
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Here's my article from July 12th, long before anybody else knew the date and the times: https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2015/07/12/confirmed-wevv-news-launch-august-3rd/
rkolsen 1686 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I thought I already replied to this thread before. I like the set and it seems like they are going right into the deep end with the sheer number of newscasts they have. Can't wait to see the launch.
NEOMatrix 1307 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Looks like WEVV is going to have 40 hrs of news per week (23.5 hrs on CBS, 17 hrs on Fox). That might be pretty much the most of any news operation in Evansville.
Samantha 2902 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Here's a larger look at the new news operation, but take note of this: The new set is from JDH Group, new graphics come from Hothaus, and new news music was created by Stephen Arnold Music. Hmm... actual *new* news music?
nickp 340 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 The last time there was a local news product on WEVV was 14 years ago
Big Country News 435 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Here's a larger look at the new news operation, but take note of this: Hmm... actual *new* news music? It's not new, it's actually from like 2008. "Indie-Band News" [yt]3r-WCzvkOtI[/yt]
Samantha 2902 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 It's not new, it's actually from like 2008. "Indie-Band News" [yt]3r-WCzvkOtI[/yt] Yeah, I was just noting the text in the article.
TexasTVNews 1378 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 WEVV has revamped it current website, and they added news bios as well. http://44news.wevv.com/
WestleyWolf 122 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 WEVV has revamped it current website, and they added news bios as well. http://44news.wevv.com/ the 44 looks almost identical to WTOG and KBHK (Now KBCW.)
Samantha 2902 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 There are only so many ways to slice a 44 before it looks downright ugly. Case in point, this 44 logo used by one of our local LPTVs:
