Hexagonal10 84 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Does anybody wanna go to the CITY of Toronto? I heard its Everywhere! I heard Global National is GLOBAL.
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I like to see and research on Canadian TeleVision from time to time online.
Journalist 894 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I heard Global National is GLOBAL. > callsign > GLOBAL > breaks the absolute basics of callsigns Six letter callsign oh my. I like to see and research on Canadian TeleVision from time to time online. You actually should. Canadian television is a very weird landscape compared to the USA. I would ramble on for hours on Canadian TV however that'll be saved for another thread. ==== Jokes and GIFs aside, while it was awfully fun, let's try to stick to the topic before the thread gets locked shall we? >_>
scrabbleship 429 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Can't find anything on KOMA, but this thread has been WDRiVen WAAY too far. These puns will be W(rit)TEN deep into the wNYT [sic].
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Yeah, I'm gonna stop the puns now by saying that its good to see KAKE change their graphics away from their Gray standard as they are about to be sold to Lockwood. Its sad to see the "KAKELand" Music Package go away after just 4 short years.
Hexagonal10 84 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Yeah, I'm gonna stop the puns now by saying that its good to see KAKE change their graphics away from their Gray standard as they are about to be sold to Lockwood. Its sad to see the "KAKELand" Music Package go away after just 4 short years. Well, I`m sure Stephen Arnold Music had a KAKE to celebrate them using one of their packages
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Well, I`m sure Stephen Arnold Music had a KAKE to celebrate them using one of their packages Again with the puns? They probably had some KUPK as well.
Hexagonal10 84 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Again with the puns? They probably had some KUPK as well. Or maybe it was a full blown back yard party with corn on the KOB, KAKE and KUPK's
channel2 982 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I don't think KAKEland was a very good package, honestly. It felt lacking in anything engaging or interesting.

hathawaynson2 39 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Aerial actually makes me want to watch the screen... As in really watch the screen?
Hexagonal10 84 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 As in really watch the screen? Sort of, Cakeland was kind of a children's show kind of song to me.
hathawaynson2 39 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Sort of, Cakeland was kind of a children's show kind of song to me. From the 1950's? Remember KAKE had children's shows back then.
Hexagonal10 84 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 From the 1950's? Remember KAKE had children's shows back then. Did it feature cake? Anyway, KAKE News will have a new report about cakes. Tonight at 11.
WestleyWolf 122 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I don't think KAKEland was a very good package, honestly. It felt lacking in anything engaging or interesting. If your talking about the 2001 Package they had that one was their best one. too bad it never got arranged by Gari or Stephen Arnold.
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 > callsign > GLOBAL > breaks the absolute basics of callsigns Six letter callsign oh my. Global's flagship is CIII/6 Toronto (long licensed to nearby Paris). The only Canadian stations with five-letter calls are Radio-Canada O&Os (CBC O&O callsign with an additional F). Everyone else has four-letter calls, a few with three letter calls even (CKY-TV and the defunct CKX-TV come to mind). I like to see and research on Canadian TeleVision from time to time online. Funny thing is, CTV doesn't officially stand for anything. "Canadian Television" is a backronym, as it were.

Would it be KAKE 2001 News Package that was designed by Rob Cairns that is on the southernmedia-nmsa website?
