Big Country News 435 Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 In a strange occurrence, KMOV has posted a story from Raycom News Network. The post even included a Raycom graphic. I didn't know Raycom syndicated their news service. Do any other non-Raycom stations use the service?
Samantha 2902 Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 This isn't news. I've seen Raycom stories all over KPHO's site for years and I think they also have been part of Media General's service. In fact, all Meredith stations use it.
tyrannical bastard 4033 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 It must be a Frankly (WorldNow) thing. Stories are notoriously cross-referenced to markets they didn't come from. Especially in Google searches...
Samantha 2902 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 It must be a Frankly (WorldNow) thing. Stories are notoriously cross-referenced to markets they didn't come from. Especially in Google searches... Not only is this thing WorldNow platform-exclusive, but Raycom content editors can actually use the platform to push stories straight to other stations' sites.
NEOMatrix 1307 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 So in other words, WGCL might carry a story from WTOC, WTVM, or any other Raycom station, especially in getting statewide news.
who?cares 255 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Raycom and Meredith have a web content sharing agreement.
tyrannical bastard 4033 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 The whole WorldNow platform is just so ad-laden and dirty. The older sites are very susceptible to intrusion attempts. I have this issue on both Chrome and Firefox on their latest versions with anti-virus and ad-blockers turned on.

And right about this time every year you will probably see some Texas station run a package on Top Ten North Dakota Stories of 2016.... Young uneducated producers pulling anything and everything off the feed to fill that B-block. I had this gem from KGTV today...the signs of a lazy producer and a on-air staff that could care less.... Keeping Your Rain Gutters Free of Ice Dams KGTV must be Hubbing the newscast again from WXYZ, because last time I checked, it was a bit too warm for ICE Dams in Southern California.
