Eat News 4745
i find it quite surprising that fox is allowing their affiliates to skip a presidential inaguration broadcast FOX had to toss a bone to some of the liberal affils to make up for that whole Ailes fiasco. They decided to let some of them cut-away because even FOX knows this is pretty boring TV by todays standards. I saw it on the internet. ColDayNews 438
WBNS and WHIO (two larger CBS stations) went local after the oath, due in part to the school shooting in Champaign County. They returned to CBS coverage at 2pm. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/15517-inauguration-day-coverage/page/3/#findComment-166144 Share on other sites
johnnya2k6 171
If the side-by-side photos are any indication, it appears nobody cared less. Only 250,000 people saw it all in person, compared to the 1.8 million who packed the National Mall for Obama's 2009 inauguration. In the end, low attendance may translate to lower TV ratings for this "inauguration". TriangleTriadMediaNews 267
All of the DC stations ditched the network around 1:30-2pm to cover the protests & riots locally. WRC was the only terrestrial station who stayed local through the swearing in and speech from Pres. Trump, via their Cozi subchannel.
