What's weird is that for a time when they introduced the first blue and white look (after the giant glass eye), they were using two variants on the WLNY logo- most of the time it'd be the ugly one, but the intro featured a variant with a font closer to that of KCAL and hence not as ugly. It's probably a consumer-grade TV. Consumer-grade televisions aren't designed to be viewed from the top or bottom which is how we're technically looking at it here.
