Guest Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Finally, one of a few lone holdouts with the old Meredith WorldNow/Frankly design has updated to the same style site that azfamily.com has. However, something to note is that the site is not run on Frankly, but rather TownNews.com BLOX Content Management System. http://www.wsmv.com Wonder if this is a trend for Meredith stations moving forward, moving away from Frankly to TownNews BLOX.
TennTV1983 806 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Here's hoping more Meredith stations follow suit in the weeks and months to come. Those old WorldNow/Frankly websites should have been retired years ago, to be honest.
ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Y'all didn't see this but... Meredith’s television stations select TownNews.com for content and video management TownNews.com to power Meredith Local Media Group’s web, video, live streaming initiatives
TennTV1983 806 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 WALA-TV in Mobile has also switched to the new BLOX website design: https://www.fox10tv.com/
TheRolyPoly 2559 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 To me, this looks sorta based off AZFamily.com
mre29 1552 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 They look good, though WSMV had giant "sidebar" ads in the empty space on either side of at least the homepage when I looked the other day -- and it made the page look really messy.
Conrad 113 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Will the Meredith/Raycom partnership and reciprocal agreement continue? WorldNow wanted to make Raycom content available to any station that uses them. Keep in mind that as this is happening, Raycom (which is also getting new websites) is being merged into Gray.
TennTV1983 806 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 KCTV in Kansas City has switched to the new website design as of today: https://www.kctv5.com/
tyrannical bastard 4019 Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I keep thinking that Gray is going to be the endgame for Meredith after they merge with Raycom...
Guest Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 KVVU has the new web layout as well. https://www.fox5vegas.com/ Unless I'm forgetting someone that just leaves WGCL, WNEM, WFSB, WHNS, WGGB, and KPTV. EDIT: Also KTVK/KPHO who are still on the Frankly platform with this principal style.
TheRolyPoly 2559 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 It just leaves these three... WFSB WGGB/WSHM WGCL/WPCH
Guest Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 It just leaves these three... WFSB WGGB/WSHM WGCL/WPCH And AZFamily.com still has to switch as well.
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 947 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 AZFamily.com will be the last to switch, as the format they have now they just switched to not that long ago...
Guest Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 AZFamily.com will be the last to switch, as the format they have now they just switched to not that long ago... That means absolutely nothing now because Meredith signed a groupwide deal with TownNews so Frankly is being kicked to the curb by the whole company.
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 947 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 That means absolutely nothing now because Meredith signed a groupwide deal with TownNews so Frankly is being kicked to the curb by the whole company. Ah did not know that..
ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Ah did not know that.. It's the fourth (4th) post in this thread.
mre29 1552 Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 And AZFamily.com still has to switch as well. That was one of the first to switch, actually.
Guest Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 That was one of the first to switch, actually. No it's the same design but it's on Frankly. They still haven't switched to the new platform.

Since Raycom is slowly kicking their longtime BFF to the curb as well....who's left as a Frankly client?
Guest Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 Since Raycom is slowly kicking their longtime BFF to the curb as well....who's left as a Frankly client? There's a bunch of smaller station groups and single-station owners who use Frankly. Lockwood comes to mind, as does KITV who tries desperately to hold on to the old Hearst design from Lakana and fails miserably on Frankly.
