Samantha 2895
KGTV is staying on VHF 10, but 20 is co-owned KZSD-LD. KZSD-LP was still in analog on RF 39; it had lost Azteca América as a program source (to XHAS), so it is currently rebroadcasting KGTV. However, T-Mobile stepped in and said "get moving, folks, we wanna start up cell service in this spectrum on December 1". Of course, every single engineering application that happens in San Diego has to also get the nod from the IFT, so the actual CP has not been issued. In September, Scripps sought an STA to immediately convert KZSD to digital on 20 — that's what you see here. The fact that 20-3 is the first channel indicates absolutely no PSIP (Program 3 is usually mapped to -1). Or does it really even matter? Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/16867-knsd-nbc7-testing-on-17-17-ota/#findComment-219711 Share on other sites

That makes sense giving I can't "see" KBNT in N.SD County off-air. WJZ is the only commercial one here in Baltimore where the Virtual Channel is the same as the Physical Channel 13.1. But their PID is indeed 0x0031. Edit: Atleast the ATSC makes their standards documents public unlike some other organizations that charge several hundred or thousands of dollars. March 14th has been designated as "Re-Scan Day" in the San Diego DMA. On that day everyone who uses an antenna is encouraged (but not required) to re-scan your television tuners. Here is a nice little story on why it's important to safely re-scan your televisions. https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/How-to-Find-Over-the-Air-Signal-for-NBC-7-KNSD-Telemundo-20-KUAN-San-Diego-503064121.html I'm looking forward to all the festivities, including the food and fun. CircleSeven 1955
At least they're giving viewers alot of time to prepare for the rescan. And the change won't happen during the February Books.
