MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 947 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 WOOD-TV's Teresa Weakley posted on Facebook that they will be debuting a new set next month... Based on the timeline, would this be a new set or just a refresh?? This set debuted in October 2012 after ArtPrize https://www.facebook.com/teresaweakleyTV/videos/443743122835847/ I wonder if they'll get the Nexstar graphics or not... Their graphics have been done in-house for years and years... I hope it's not effed up like WSPA's in-house job...
who?cares 255 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 That set has aged relatively well. I hope they don’t get the NBC Graphics. I could see them getting the WISH graphics, though I would be more than happy if they got a unique package.

ttvn2000 320 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 As long as they don’t drop “Primetime News” - then we will be OK. But I do agree their look has aged quite well.
KnoxvilleTVFan 286 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I hope WOOD gets some amazing graphics and I, too, hope they keep "Primetime News", because it is a solid news theme. WOOD's Primetime News is to WPVI's Move Closer To Your World, because both stations have used the same news theme for at least two decades.

Could've said the same thing about any of WISH-TV's news themes since they've used Back Home Again in Indiana since 1991 and was mostly associated with In-Sink (in which what they're using now, again).
MidwestTV 1240 Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 Tearing up the background live on air was cute lol
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 947 Posted May 12, 2019 Author Posted May 12, 2019 Looks like WOOD will be debuting their new set tomorrow beginning with Daybreak @ 4:30 https://www.facebook.com/20114386235/posts/10157097015181236?s=726466137&sfns=mo
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 947 Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 Not 100% new.. a few things from the last set were worked in... but they got the “corner” treatments the other stations have been getting. As I suspected no new graphics — same in-house graphics and luckily they kept Primetime News. I’m on a mobile device at work and couldn’t grab screenshots.
abric 181 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I think only for Daybreak, their news set is moved over to the right behind the 4x5 monitors so the sofa can be in the corner of the set.
roscoryan 21 Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 I like it...seems to translate well to the market, IMHO: https://www.woodtv.com/about-us/next-generation-studio-unveiled-at-wood-tv8/1995058060
news89 468 Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Wow this looks so nice. That logo wall is so neat. I'm glad two things live on at WOOD TV. 24 hour News8 branding and Primetime News music.
SFTV 529 Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Oh wow, looks good and they kept the KPIX desk with the refresh.
Guest Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 There's not a lot of "WOOD" on that WOOD set lol. But it looks like a great refresh overall.
