A legendary, well-known face in Arizona journalism has died. I consider him one of KTVK 3TV's giants since he was one of Arizona's first Hispanic anchors.

Frank Camacho was 75 and passed away this morning after a battle with cancer.

Ugh. Another great one gone too soon.

Former WYMT Chief Forecaster Brandon Robinson has passed away after battling with brain cancer for 9 years. He was 42.

Usually, WYMT is not on the weekend anymore due to Gray's cuts from a year ago. However, tonight at 6:00pm, it will be an exception as a tribute to the forecaster who spent and devoted 17 years to the station and to Eastern and Central Kentucky.

KOMU sports director Ben Arnet has unexpectedly passed away at the age of 43.

So sad. I remember him when he was a sports reporter in Buffalo for what's now Spectrum News 1 Buffalo (YNN at the time).

Sad news out of the Bay Area. Belva Davis, a pioneering broadcaster, passed away at 92. She was the first black female reporter on the west coast when she joined KPIX in the 60s, and was known for her career at KRON and KQED. A true inspiration for many and a memorable figure in television.

I think she did California This Week for KRON before her long run at KQED doing This Week in Northern California.

From Columbus: WBNS-TV's Chuck White has passed at age 90.

One of the first Black reporters on central Ohio television, White also performed on the station's children's program Luci's Toyshop, and later served as public affairs director.

For those who are in the realm of public media or have an interest in it, I just got some very sad news.

One of NPR's founding mothers, the legendary Susan Stamberg, has passed away at the age of 87. She just retired a month ago, was one of the OG employees at the network, and was the first American woman (TV or radio) to anchor a nightly national news program.

Jerry Taff, who anchored at WISN from 1979 to 2005, passed away last night. He was 85. Had the opportunity to meet him once (my time at WISN was long after he had retired), but he was kind and gracious to me.

This one is sad. His voice resonates and was SYNOMOUS with WISN and Milwaukee television.

May God forever rest his soul in peace. He will be sorely sorely missed.

A very sad loss at WSFA in Montgomery.

News Director Desmond Wingard has passed away after a battle with cancer.

Not only was he a native to the area, he had spent his entire career at WSFA, starting while he was a junior at Troy University, and worked his way up all the way to News Director in 2022.

Unfortunately, we lost Geoff Fox. Former radio personality, longtime meteorologist in Connecticut at WTNH and WTIC but also for NCN: NewsChannel Nebraska.

Passed away last night in his sleep after battling prostate cancer. He was 75.
