WXIA on temporary/secondary set

Started seeing this on WXIA a few days ago, they appear to to be using a temporary set, or is this just a new secondary set. There apparently seem to have been two used (the latter images are still in use, the first two seen to be the set used for Atlanta & Company). What do y'all think, temporary set, secondary set, or what?

My sources say the studio is getting reworked. Not a full overhaul, but some changes.

They are currently using the Atl&Co set for shows - some are using the main part of it (pics 1+2 above), while others are using a temporary set up in the corner of it (pics 3+4 above).

Crash confirmed the changes on his Instagram, too!

The "changes" have debuted this morning. The morning crew just LOVED to comment on new lighting. Only bits and pieces have been shown, maybe later today a complete view will be given. Like the Instagram post from above, the main screen has been moved to the right of the set apparently. Home base is now directly Infront of a updated video wall beside the logo while the three monitors that used to be on the right are now on the left right beside the spiral staircase, nothing beyond that point has been shown. Pictures will be posted soon.

It's still a fairly dark set, but talent does pop better. That desk feels crammed into that corner, but maybe that's because the metal logo is so huge. I still feel that stair case corner is wasted potential - thrown in because they didn't know what to do there. It's mysteriously dark.

The problems that this set faces is because it still follows the plan of the 2013 set. Just get rid of that plan and build a new darn set with brick and wood elements!

The 11ALIVE logo needs some work done. The current one is trash! Someone had to say it!

Definitely, we've been knowing that since this logo debuted!

It’s pretty sad that WXIA went from having one of the best sets in Atlanta back in the early 2000s with that two-story newsplex-like design to this.

What is worse is that whatever comes out of 46 may trample this even further down the list of worst news sets in Atlanta.

So true, I will definitely remain optimistic as most of us with a new WGCL set sometime in the near future. This set is just sad considering other TEGNA sets are better-ish. Personally I rank the news sets in Atlanta as follows, 1 the best and 5 the worst.

(1) WSB

(2) WAGA

(3) WGCL

(4) WXIA

hey just like the ratings!
