WLOS in Asheville, NC (Sinclair) has been in temporary digs for the past few months. Expecting a new set debut sometime this month or next.

that's a long time away yet... why are they cutting the ribbon now then??

I know but I am assuming it's because for November Sweeps.

I wouldn’t allow a bunch of curious people from the Chamber who are eating and (presumably) drinking booze to wander around the brand new studio. (I say this based upon similar events I’ve attended.) But maybe that’s just me …

So far, I like it more than the others that WSET and WEAR got.  Better use of video walls and I like how they worked in the "mountains" at the top.  The stone accents on the others are a little too much.  This is much more streamlined.

I'm actually surprised at Sinclair, this set looks really good! It's a nice change compared to the previous versions of "Sinclair in a box". Now...if WCIV would get a refresh....but thats another topic :)

It looks as sterile as the WSET and WEAR sets do. Even the wood wall behind the Chamber member with the novelty scissors looks light, belonging in a Doctor's Office waiting room, not an intimate news environment.

I've given up on any large companies going with a local feel...which is a shame cause some stations really did breathe that local feel until the big corps took over.
