WPSD is moving to a new building.

WPSD is on the move. They're going from 100 Television Lane to The Paducah Sun's headquarters at 408 Kentucky Avenue in Downtown Paducah (remember, WPSD's focus is on Paducah and Western Kentucky, WSIL's on Carbondale and Southern Illinois, and KFVS' on Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri).

 

A new set is guaranteed (finally), but hopefully, new graphics, music, and everything will come with it as their current look is so 2008-old (its the only HD graphics package they've ever had).

Update

 

WPSD has started broadcasting, as of this week, from their new location at The Paducah Sun building. However, their new set is not quite ready yet. Therefore, they're in a temporary setting in a corner of the new studio that'll debut after the 4th of July.

Looking at the renderings of the new set, I'm surprised they went with Michael Wright on this job as he mostly did sets for the Graham stations.

Surreal to see the WBBH goes HD in 2007 or 2008 graphics are still in use somewhere in 2025. Perfectly fine graphics for the time, but they aren't hold on to for 15+ years great graphics either.

Does VDO even exist anymore? Their old web domain has gone dark since then, along with the website itself.

Very disappointing that the graphics didn't get updated... they just look out of place on such a nice new set...
