I’m totally shocked by this report from The Hollywood Reporter. CBS News seems like a sinking ship rn IMO, but I’m sure he was on his final strike at ABC.

I mean, probably not a great move for Matt, but for CBS, it's a big get from the #1 broadcast news network- not unlike NBC poaching Tom Llamas for Nightly. I would agree that if he was on final strike at ABC, this was a win/win at least for now.

He got suspended twice. The first time for mistakenly reporting that all of Kobe Bryant's children rather than one of them were on that ill fated helicopter. The second time for entering a hospital without permission during the pandemic.
