24994J 5888 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 The same week that Nexstar cut 17 (at last count) high-profile on-air talent at their three largest stations, now we're getting word from our online & Nexstar sources that sweeping cuts are now being made across any and all Creative Services departments. Number of people and/or stations being impacted are still unclear, but this all appears to be part of cost reductions as the company looks to ram through complete its acquisition of the Tegna group stations. I'll post more details when I hear it. 3
Weeters 2173 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 It sure sounds to me like they are trying to implement the Tegna model before the merger goes through... There's a controversial word used for Tegna stations "Tegnafiying"... and I think Nexstar caught it. 1

I kinda hope they do, ONLY because their graphics package kinda sucks, especially with the implementation of the Roboto fonts... It looks very dated for a Top 50 market. 3
