CrashPush 0 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I know this is kind of old but, why was Jim Ryan's exit from Good Day NY so sudden. It was like one day he was there and the next day he wasn't. Was it because the comment he made about Mike Wood's on the air?
Amra 171 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 He was hired by WCBS-TV to anchor CBS 2 News This Morning

NYnewsFan 0 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I don't recall his exit from Fox 5 being that sudden. As I remeber he announced his retirement and then left the station. They even had a special episode of GDNY dedicated completely to his years hosting the show. It wasn't like he was all of a sudden gone. They let him say goodbye. Then a few months later he was hired by WCBS. That departure was rather sudden when they revamped the newscast and he was never seen again.
Vlad 334 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 So I take it that Maurice DuBois got a new gig somewhere else?
IceManNYR 240 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 He's the current co anchor of the WCBS AM show. I think when Jim came to WCBS he was just added to the existing cast.
CrashPush 0 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 What did he say about M. Woods? One morning Mike Woods was complaining how cold it was outside, Jim Ryan then calls him "Wuss Woods" live on the air. A day or two later, Jim Ryan was gone. It just seemed like Mr. Woods got really pissed off about that and something happened behind the scenes that I or any other viewer didn't catch. I always had that on my mind. When Corning was recently let go it made remember.
