From DCRTV.com

4 Continues To Be DC TV News Leader - 12/2 - In his Tuesday "Pop Culture" Q&A at washingtonpost.com, Paul Farhi reveals the November DC TV news ratings. "All I can say is, WRC, channel 4, continues to command amazing viewer loyalty, even as its network parent (NBC) continues to head into the dumper. And, oy, poor WUSA, channel 9. It used to be a contender. Even with its network, CBS, leading in primetime, it's hardly in the game." At 5 PM: WRC 1st, WJLA 2nd, WTTG 3rd, WUSA 4th. At 6 PM: WRC 1st, WJLA 2nd, WTTG 3rd, WUSA 4th. At 11 PM: WRC 1st, WJLA 2nd, WUSA 3rd, WTTG 4. If WTTG's 10 PM news was included in the overall late news numbers, it would rank 2nd. DCRTV wonders: So, the local TV ratings don't even merit a print article in the DC Post any longer? Ditto with the local radio ratings. Hmmm.....
Guess the new Gannett Package did not help at all. Although, I wish we knew the morning ratings, because I personally watch WTTG every morning and at 11am.

Vartv.com hasn't posted official numbers, but it more or less remains the same in Hampton Roads.

WVEC wins the noon, and early evening newscasts (5-6:30),

WAVY wins the mornings and 11:00 newscasts

MORNINGS (5-7am)

1. WAVY

2. WVEC

3. WTKR

NOON

1. WVEC

2. WTKR

3. WAVY

EARLY EVENING (5-5:30pm)

1. WVEC

2. WAVY

3. WTKR

11 PM

1. WAVY

2. WVEC

3. WTKR

And I believe in their increase of ratings, WTKR at 6 beat "Judge Judy", for what I'm guessing is the first time since WGNT picked up Judy 10 years ago. So congrats to WTKR for that.

Alaskanews2 is trying to get any numbers from Anchorage; KTUU may still be dominant despite NBC's never-ending ratings slump, but I'd like to see how KTVA and KIMO fared in primetime (especially the latter thanks to "Dancing With The Stars") as well as KTBY with their own news operation now.

Does anybody in the Mississippi Gulf Coast ever give a damn about the New Orleans newscasts? Probably they don't; they watch WLOX only for their local news and the N.O. stations for everything else (as well as WKRG in Mobile -- the Coast's backup CBS station -- for "The Early Show").

By the way...how IS WLOX doing against the New Orleans stations?

Whoa, watch the attitude there, sonny. Harrison and Jackson counties aren't part of the N.O. DMA, so I would have no idea as to how they performed.

Sorry; it's just that WLOX and WXXV are the only major network stations in the Coast, and they've been relying on WWL, WDSU, WVUE, WNOL, WGNO, and WKRG on cable for their complete fix. It's been that way for almost 40 years.

By the way, the only station that's been long absent from those cable listings there in WUPL.
