WNYW and WNBC now sharing SkyFox

They should just drop the WWOR newscasts.

News Corp wanted to do that just like they did it to KCOP out in LA. One problem, though. The license to the station is in NJ. When they wanted to move the station back to NYC a few years ago, there were protests from groups and some politicians about the station not doing enough coverage of NJ and calls for the FCC to revoke the license so Fox backed off.

I heard that NBC canceled the helicopter contracts not only in NYC, but also Miami and San Francisco. This is a shame. So many great people could be out of work soon, if not already. :-(

KNSD now uses KGTV's Sky1O for its feeds now....no more NewsChopper 7/39

KFMB is already busy sharing its Chopper 8 feeds to KUSI "Sky Eye" and XETV...no name...formely "SKYFOX 6" when it was a Fox Affiliate"

If you wondered what the anchor team of Brenda and Ernie would be like, they are anchoring tonight at 5pm on FOX5.

I think there was one other time recently that Brenda subbed on FOX5 News.

They did anchor together on WWOR from '97 to 2000.

Dan Rice was reporting from Newscopter7 during the 5pm newscast.

Does that mean Channel 7 now has four chopper reporters: Shannon Sohn, John DelGorno (sp?), Ed Hughes, and now Dan Rice? Wow! I'm glad to see Dan Rice back at work though.

Isn't Dan Rice, Shannon Sohn's husband?

I believe he's simply filling in. The only two "staff" chopper reporters are DelGiorno and Sohn.
