cbs2idiots 24 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Lucy Noland leaving FOX5 news after her contract expires which is soon. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/ent_radio/story/493669p-415852c.html It would be nice if Cindy Hsu goes to FOX5 and get the anchor spot which will be vacated by Noland.
morningnewsfan 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 The article also mentions that Mark Joyella's last day is Friday. I enjoyed watching both of them on GDNY and it's sad to see them go.
PunditWannabe 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 That's a shame. I thought she wasfairly good, and easy on the eyes. What is happening at Fox 5 and CBS 2? It's become amateur hour....
Colortini 76 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Yeah, good looking AND talented. Hopefully she lands somewhere else.
NYnewsFan 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I can't wait to see who Fox 5 brings in to replace some of these good talents.
TVNewsWatcher 6 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I can't wait to see who Fox 5 brings in to replace some of these good talents. Maybe Shon and Mario...That would be nice..
jayRos 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I'm hoping Cindy Hsu tries to go for it , or they consider Cindy Hsu for the 5-6am anchor position of Good Day Wake up, The Newsreader for Good Day NY (as well as having feature reports/ interviews). She could also take Lucy's place on the 11am news at fox 5
NYNews 54 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Shon Gables and Cindy Hsu are great replacements. However, the management at WNYW (formerly at WCBS) I think will favor Shon over Cindy. They didn't like Dana and Cindy back at WCBS. I think Shon will have a greater chance because they did like her and gave her the morning spot. But didn't we last hear about Shon wanting a job at the national level and would she favor being second to Jodi? I think Shon is better than Jodi though. I hope there are more changes at WNYW, perhaps getting rid of Dari at 6pm. I would favor Cindy at 6pm, but then again Cindy deserves better than WNYW.
civic110 20 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Well, FOX5 has much better stability than WCBS does. They don't change anchors every couple of weeks. They usually stick to things pretty well with minor changes here and there. This happens to be one of those periods.
cbs2idiots 24 Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 Lucy Noland last day is on Wednesday. Lynda Lopez is interested in her job. Lets hope someone else get it. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2007/03/16/2007-03-16_the_best_bets_to_replace_bartelstein.html
Colortini 76 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Yeah, I can't imagine this show getting worse however if Lynda Lopez joins it, I think that'll do the trick!
Colortini 76 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 And why would anybody(Stacy-Ann) leave FOX5 for RNN? That's quite a huge step down!
NYnewsFan 0 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 The traffic people work for Metro Traffic. What if she wants to be a reporter and anchor one day? She would have to leave at some point. Going to RNN allows her to not move out of market.
IceManNYR 240 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Why would anyone go from a NYC station to RNN which though is shown on NYC area cable systems is based in Kingston, NY? I know ten years ago or so WRNN used to have much more news programming but in recent years they have cut back big time. They now run infomercials 9pm-6:30pm and news programming 6:30pm-9pm. Any idea just how many hours of news and non infomercial programming will be broadcast?
Colortini 76 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Why would anyone go from a NYC station to RNN which though is shown on NYC area cable systems is based in Kingston, NY? Exactly. Normally people go to RNN BEFORE the big time. Phil Lipof came from RNN, then eventually went to WABC. Cat Greenleaf came from RNN, then went to WNBC. Kevin Connors, from RNN to WCBS. Rolland Smith made his comeback on RNN to return to WWOR. Even if they are adding a newsblock, how many people actually watch RNN for credible news? She had an easy plum job on FOX5. Who knows...if she stayed on FOX5 she could've moved to the weather department like Vanessa Alfano did on MY9!
Amra 171 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 However, the management at WNYW (formerly at WCBS) They didn't like Dana and Cindy back at WCBS. Other than Lew Leone, who are on WNYW management that came from WCBS?
NYNews 54 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 i sometimes couldn't hear/understand her (Stacey Ann) clearly when she reported, they way she talked i guess.
qwertywcbs 0 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 However, the management at WNYW (formerly at WCBS) They didn't like Dana and Cindy back at WCBS. Other than Lew Leone, who are on WNYW management that came from WCBS? Swanson.
username23 1 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I was never a big fan of Stacey Ann, she just never really gave me the traffic the way I expected it, Vanessa on WCBS was the best, but let's not revisit the good glimpse of hope we saw at WCBS. I imagine that her contact was up as well and was unable to find work anywhere else, but that's just my opinion.
BRAIN1953 0 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Going to miss her she was great. maybe Cindy Hsu will come .
HoustonNews 0 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 UPDATE on Lucy Noland: She is now in Lisa Foronda's old position at KHOU.
