Poll: Would you tune into PIX News at Ten starting tomorrow?

I kind of want to see where this goes. Even if you don't live in the New York market, would you (if you could) watch the newly revamped PIX News at Ten that will air starting tomorrow night?

 

Notable changes if you haven't been reading in the other thread:

• Kaity Tong and Jim Watkins, veteran news anchors who have been on the air since 1998 are reassigned to smaller lower-profile positions. Watkins will be the weekend anchor and Tong will be a borough field anchor.
  
• The newscasts will be solo anchored by Jodi Applegate, of Good Day New York and Cablevision's News 12 fame.
  
• There will be no desk.
  
• The newscast will start with 11 news stories in 11 minutes.
  
• According to reports, the new graphics will be green and have an ipad-like bar at the bottom of the screen.
  
• There will be no chit-chat.
  
• Lionel, Larry Mendte, and Chris Mocker will still be delivering commentary reports.

If I was living in New York, I probably would'nt watch because I don't think the changes will fit very well for PIX.

I will not watch this new newscast because of one reason- JODI APPLEGATE.

Holy crap. The on screen graphics, outside of the 'apps' looks like they came straight out of the 80s.

I give the news show two months before they tone it down and bring in a new anchor or a co-anchor.

 

Jodi cannot carry the show by herself and the graphics are distracting. Also the set is all over the place - who the f designed it?

Honestly this newscast is simply just a total complete disaster and an epic failure. It's kind of like that embarassing NBC experiment with the Jay Leno show and Conan Obrien fiasco. Sure ratings are a tad up because of anticipation and curiousity, but its gonna fail sooner or later and Kaity and Jim will end up right where they are. I have yet to watch a broadcast but I just can't see myself tuning into that channel anymore now that Jim and Kaity are gone. WPIX will never be the same again. And I'm sorry but those graphics are simply disgusting and hideous. The lower thirds look like something easilly done in Paint, I mean what the hell are they thinking? I wonder if this is some kind of joke?

 

If anything if they want to save the broadcast I'd bring Kaity and Jim back and keep Applegate as sort of a contributing anchor, kind of like way they do it at WLS in Chicago for their 10PM broadcast they have Cheryl Jennings as a contributer in the studio. They better think fast and do something because the longer this crap stays on the air the more damage they'll do to themselves.
