  1. Past hour
  2. He also reported on the noon yesterday.
  3. Mike was out covering the Diddy trial yesterday. Not sure about today but yesterday he did several reports for all evening shows.
  4. I noticed these days that Mike Marza never fills in for Bill Ritter when he's not at 5pm and 6pm. Is there any logical reason for this? (not that I mind, of course, I'm just curious) Yesterday Sandra was there for Bill at 5pm, today we had David and Sandra at 5pm; Liz did both days at 6pm only. I thought that because Mike was Bill's soon-to-be replacement, he would be his immediate replacement on his time off.
  5. Today
  6. In more news, the pricing for ESPN's direct to consumer service is out: https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2025/05/new-direct-to-consumer-offering-to-be-singularly-branded-espn/ $29.99/month or $299/year for everything ESPN (all the ESPN-owned channels, all the sporting events on ABC, ESPN+).
  7. ABC has finally given up on the entire 'temporary simulcast because of strikes' charade involving MNF with the 2025 season; it's on every week for the new season (probably with those odd doubleheader weeks and one of them will have a VR game like the Simpsons game last year most likely)
  8. Trust me, as long as Fox still has The Simpsons and company, Hulu will still continue to host ALL Fox shows. And with that renewal, it's clear they're not going away from Fox.
  9. Hulu subscriptions that are bundled or on the same myDisney accounts as Disney+ subscriptions will result in most Hulu content being available on the Disney+ app/site. As you noted, the reverse doesn't apply for the Hulu app/site. This is also true for ESPN+. Fox's websites/apps already authenticate with cable/satellite/virtual subscriptions, and this app, which is not designed to replace those subscriptions and will not be promoted on the channels, will have exactly the same content.
  10. "43 The Block" couldn't have come at a worse time. They had just lost the Indians and Cavs to cable and WBNX was starting to clean their clocks in the ratings by smartly investing in programming. WUAB had been burned in the past by some deals (notably Webster reruns) but managed to get some good syndication as well. WUAB's strategy at the time? Bulk up on informercials and create a bunch of amateur comedy-mercials with comedian-hosts like Mike Polk. Even he lampooned these efforts in WUAB's 50th anniversary special! https://youtu.be/pKW-7sccPDY?si=wXH-3IGg7AZEDKbf&t=1242
  11. Isn't Hulu totally available through Disney+ as well? Hulu content appears to be available through Disney+ but not the other way around. Not to mention a large number of subscribers probably get or pay for the Disney Bundle, which includes Hulu, Disney+ and Espn+. I wonder if this will be a stand-alone option for non-cable subscribers, and can be authenticated for free with a cable/satellite subscription...
  12. Michael Jordan and Vince Carter is joining the NBA on NBC, Jordan as a special contributor and Carter as a studio analyst.
  13. I understand that Hulu will continue to carry Fox network content in addition to this.
  14. NBC has Peacock, CBS has Paramount+, the list goes on. Now Fox is jumping in with the launch of Fox One ahead of the NFL Season. They're housing Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Weather, Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, Deportes, FOX Local and Fox network all under one house. So is Hulu just going to be primarily ABC after this summer? https://www.fox.com/foxone/
  15. KEVN Newscast 1987 (clip at 25:00) WLUC TV 6 Early News 1991 WFTV Eyewitness News 1989 WBZ Eyewitness News 1986
  16. WNBC News 4 New York at 11 (April 4, 1994/Easter Sunday) A-Block Also at the start of this video, a partial "We're 4 New York" promo is shown.
  17. My NBC O&O, WTVJ Miami, now airs four and a half straight hours of news every weekday after moving NBC News Daily from 1 to 3pm. Other changes include moving Kelly Clarkson to 11am, Access Daily to 1pm, and shortening their noon news to 30 minutes to once again air South Florida Live as a full half-hour program. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJkHRpWvd7A/?igsh=Ym8yMDU5N3NhdXlx
  18. Yesterday
  19. Which throws me for a loop when I watch, but small potatoes. Did they do that just for the ease of simplicity knowing they're getting the new graphics package eventually (which, if history keeps up, there will likely not be any network logos on that logo), or would it have been just as easy for them to take the entire ABC logo out and place the Fox logo in?
  20. They also have a 'malicious compliance' version of the logo where the ABC ball is still used...but for the Fox version they just replace the ABC text with the Fox logo. It's technically compliant for its use, but it feels like it's easier to just switch logos without the black ball being needed.
  21. Wymt has removed the CBS eye form the 2022 open I tried uploading a video but it failed
  22. Former KSTP met Wren Clair is resurfacing across town at KARE.
  23. I think both sides agree to part ways and Billy wanted to do more podcasting with his Hot Mics Billy's old place Access Hollywood a few weeks ago was talking about some celeb that was on Hot Mics with Billy Bush. I like how no one ever mentions their rivals when Mario Lopez got his star on Walk Of Fame at the end of Extra last year they just said former Extra host and did a mini interview saying how he liked working for Extra that was about it.
  24. And after reading the Reddit posts, there are *allegations*... I don't think WEWS has another Joel Rose on their hands, but if there's any proof that comes out, then that's a different story. EDIT: I think the FTVLive article is putting these allegations to rest. The peanut gallery has all of their opinions there based on rampant speculation and some accounts. More likely WEWS over-reacted trying to find a way to cut him loose, since he's been there forever and likely makes more than Scripps wants to pay him. The drain continues to circle at 3001 Euclid Avenue and other lighthouses across the country...
  25. Apparently, it was shilling local food joints on his facebook page that got Mark Johnson canned.... https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2025/5/10/fired-in-cleveland https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2025/4/8/are-these-ads (posts like these) Seems more like a conflict of interest instead of a ethical matter to me. Perhaps WJW may pick him up after all and put him on "New Day Cleveland" once the dust settles. You know, because Nexstar and selling things....
  26. Last week
  27. WALA Mobile 1982: evening edition from when Channel 10 was the NBC station of that coastal Alabama area; opening has visual billing of the talent, but no announcer (also, Glenn Robinson is in for Glenda Webb)
  28. Technically, 75 years was back on December 31st, 2024, but its a recent celebration for Tulsa's KRMG Radio as the Cox-owned outlet celebrates 75 years on the radio. https://www.krmg.com/fp/celebrating-75-years-krmg-tulsa-radio/
  29. Basically, the entire NewsNation network is this way. Get fired/quit from a major network (even for cause) and end up on NN because you're a recognizable name that could get them a viewer (or two). It's basically an added value on the whole game Perry Sook invented by shaking down cable companies for money. The stations suffer while the saved pennies all go towards NewsNation.
