  1. Past hour
  2. Will they ever announce a replacement for Maurice? Schedule since he moved to network seems to be Jessica Monday thru Wednesday and then Allan/Dick/Alice on Thursday and Friday. I would hope something more permanent would go into place?
  3. I’m wondering if we’ll see an “official” announcement about Pedro this week? Mike took over the 5 last Tuesday and Pedro was on vacation so it would make sense.
  4. Today
  5. Another met. bites the dust at WBBH/WZVN as weekend met. Jesslyn Ferentz is leaving the station and the business altogether. June 22nd is her final day. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1140417734557682&id=100057683995985
  6. So he was suspended... for being right? If calling a Trump official a hater (the most lenient yet still accurate term to call them) is grounds for suspension, then that is embarrassing and disappointing. Well... ABC showed their hand. And you know Trump is going to force it any way he can/will.
  7. Even though they are missing the biggest piece of the state (the Twin Cities)...
  8. Is this what is considered a fireable offense nowadays. No explicit pictures, no swear words, just a post critiquing Stephen Miller? ABC was the first to settle with Trump and now they're the first to fire employees for anti-Trump sentiments. I wouldn't be shocked if others followed suit.
  9. I’m not mad at Terry for keeping it real.
  10. Terry Moran put on the shelf at ABC News.
  11. We have another Gray-owned regional sports network coming. This time... focused on Minnesota (this was posted on KEYC's Facebook page).
  12. Yesterday
  13. I think the 25% opacity text across the screen in the opening is incredibly distracting. There's too much going on visually. Keep the C4D renders, the large text stroke, the names of the cities, and the background video.
  14. It’s a free-to-download font called Lemon Milk.
  15. Is this the NBC font they're using? NBC Futura?
  16. Facts… Austin like Orlando are strong secondary markets, honestly they too are irrelevant but I think FOX just wants that ad revenue from the high ratings.
  17. That bugged me too. Someone created typed that out, looked at it, and said "yes this is good."
  18. Not bad, but they either need to reduce the font size or increase the space for the headlines... Seeing the word Investigation on 2 different lines looks tacky
  19. WNYT, Albany, (finally) got new graphics and music this week. The lower thirds look similar to what they had previously and it seems they created the graphic package at the station? They are using Ascend as their news music. Also, for the first time since I can recall the peacock isn’t a featured element in the graphics. And the music does not have the NBC chimes. As of now, they haven’t created matching weather graphics. This is a definite upgrade from what they had been using
  20. TIL Rick Telander joined the station as a special columnist. (14 years at Sports Illustrated & the last 30 at the Chicago Sun-Times)
  21. I’m not saying it makes sense for the reason you stated, but they have a 6-hour morning show. Gotta fill it with … something
  22. Last week
  23. Paxton owns a number of newspapers in the Evansville area: Princeton, Vincennes, Dubois County, Warrick County, Perry County, Spencer County just in Indiana alone; Owensboro, Madisonville, McLean County in KY, and a newspaper cluster in the Illinois Tri-State counties. Hard to tell what would happen there.
  24. Having O&Os in NFC markets for sure. For example, Fox 32 has a 5-person sports team, Fox 9 has 4-person and Fox 6 and Fox 2 each have a 3-person team. These 4 stations also have their own weekly NFL/NFC North show (1st and North) along with other sports-related programming. That said, it appears that it's ultimately up to each individual Fox O&O to determine its sports coverage (how much/or little) and not necessarily the Fox corporate overlords.
  25. If anything, WOFL/WOGX's Sports segments could be taped and done by WTVT or at least their podcast "No Off Days" could be shown weekly. WTVT also co-produces Florida Tonight with WOFL.
  26. Part of ESPN's operations in New York are moving to WABC-TV/ABC News' headquarters at 7 Hudson Square. https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2025/06/espns-get-up-first-take-unsportsmanlike-moving-to-new-home-at-7-hudson-square-in-new-york-city/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=espns-get-up-first-take-unsportsmanlike-moving-to-new-home-at-7-hudson-square-in-new-york-city&utm_source=ESPN+Front+Row&utm_campaign=04ef203bf5-MediaZone_Daily_RSSFed_Digest&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_d3cee178e6-04ef203bf5-138324565
  27. Kinda wild Fox 26 is shuttering the sports department Mark Berman built
  28. Aside from the Astros, Houston is not a market that Fox has a vested interest in sports-wise. The Texans are an AFC team that's had some better years but that's CBS's problem in their eyes. Wonder if the same will happen in Orlando? Austin seems to hold on despite it not having any teams of their own, but feeds on the surrounding markets like DFW, Houston and San Antonio.
  29. Looks like Comcast wanted exclusivity for carrying CHSN; outside non-Comcast markets like Iowa, Indy and Milwaukee, CHSN is being taken off OTA as of Monday, including WJYS.
