  1. Other posters have noted that PIX has tried a 6:30 newscast before and it failed. I understand the appeal of having a local newscast during the network time (we have that down here in DC with WRC with them having Nightly News at 7) but what makes you so sure this will be a big hit with the ratings?

  3. As bad as ABC 7's special can be (and usually is), there are no surprises. It's nothing if it isn't consistent. NBC gave viewers no good reason to come back next year, plain and simple.

  5. More young 'PVI talent moving on to bigger platforms within the ABC News family...First Shirleen, then Kenneth, now Eva. WPVI is indeed a powerhouse station. WABC & WPVI are the best news stations in the country.

  6. She reported on the street a few days a week and anchored the weekend morning shows. I think she did plenty and was very good.

  8. Well I guess Troy isn't *that* ready... It does beg the question why 7 thinks shoving Cheryl Scott down people's throats is a popular decision at every special they do... It's not like she needs that much introduction...

  11. So what they recently did in Roanoke, they're going to do it in Huntsville. B&C just posted today that Nexstar is going to start in-house news ops for WZDX with an expansion of its 9pm news to a full hour. It will spend over $3M to update its facilities, reporting capabilities & hire 20 positions for this news expansion. The new in-house newscast on WZDX will debut on April 4, 2016.
