If they want to gain a following for the midday (11 or Noon) they NEED to have a stable anchor team.. Same person or people all 5 days.. The most realistic and probable choice would probably be David Ushery and Kerry Berrett

I do agree with you on this. News 4 New York is an iconic news branding; not just in Market 1, but also in all of US local TV news. So of course the intro should reflect this. But It makes little (if not no) sense to have an intro graphic not reflecting this with a it showing/reading something else instead. And NBC 4 New York News is a mouthful to say in comparison anyway.

"You sure look like a winner" seems to indicate that this campaign was "The One 4 All" - WJKW used the same tag line in their version of said campaign. NMSA says WBZ debuted The One 4 All in 1979, so if it WAS that campaign, either WITI was one of the earliest to use it, or perhaps it was actually originally written for WITI and not WBZ. If only more clips of WITI were out there...

It boggles the mind that he's limited to only the midday news. Maybe that'll change when the 4pm debuts. You still have to wonder how/where the new meteorologist will fit in. As for coverage, 5 and 7 were damn good. I'm sure Skilling was Skilling, but 2 and 32 were also short their chiefs tonight, with Curran and Kleist and Caplan and Strehl on duty. I was honestly surprised how well the Taft/Schwarz/Mowry tag team on 7 worked out. They were very balanced and no one upstaged the others. It also helps that Taft was awake and functioning.
