Isn't the Phillies game telecast on CSN Philly even on nights that NBC10 airs the game? Because if that's the case, then I would imagine CSN not caring all that much if it's 3 minutes before 11 and the 11PM news over at NBC 10 would be starting soon. It's not as though CSN is also airing the newscast. I admit that the way the graphics and transition was handled, was poorly done. However, for me, I'd rather have them transition to something substantive, like news, or extend the post-game highlights and comments for another three minutes. I know if I was a viewer, I would have probably switched the channel to somewhere else if commercials were to run in those three minutes.

Have they named a replacement for Rob yet? I think it should be Laura, but no NY station has ever had a woman as their lead sportscaster, have they? For now, it probably will be Laura (with Anthony Johnson on weekends).

Well, Laura did the 11pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and she's still in the opens. So far, they haven't named a replacement but they did remove Rob from the 11pm promo. Monica Pellegrini shared the nightly news with Russ Salzberg on WWOR from '98 to '03, while Sam Ryan was the first female sports director to anchor solo in '07 when Ducis Rodgers was laid off.

There seems to be zero desire to either make serious improvements to/replace the set. I guess it would have to fall apart in one fell swoop before they would ever consider replacing it. It's a shame really. The newsroom is arguably the best (design-wise) in town.

Are they ever going to get a new set? Or use the one they have to its fullest potential? Ugh I stopped watching that station altogether. Can't stand Irika Sargent (and Kate Sullivan before her) and Rob Johnson and Ryan Baker get on my nerves too.
