1. 10:59. KTXL usually give the commercials time followed by and ID before Two and a half men comes on. they start the news about 30 Seconds early or right after Fox Programming.

 2. Not sure how that's a mistake. The talent intros say who the regulars are, and they're not changed when someone is off. Jim was off, so Mark was filling in, as has been standard procedure since many of us were in diapers.

 3. Here's an ITV (CITV) Edmonton movie open I found on robatsea2009's channel, with music from "Take a Look". You may recognize this track from the KXTV 3:30 Movie opens posted by KLXT77 some years back, but those opens faded the music out earlier than this one: Either through recommended videos, or just searching for more ITV, I found these additional videos from la_canuck. They were posted in 2009-12, but I just discovered them, so they're new to me. A bunch of early-80s IDs, promos, etc. from ITV, also using "Take a Look." These include a few cuts we've never heard (well, some of them are on the demo, which I've heard, but unlike on the demo, most of these are completely in the clear; also, the "disco" one has singers on the demo and is instrumental here). I'll try to put the rest in subsequent posts, due to the 5-embed limit. And here is a sign-on using Neil Diamond's "African Suite", perhaps best known among us as WJLA's news theme in the early 80s. However, this has the whole track, or at least most of it: Somehow, in all these years I had never listened to the whole thing (it can't have helped that NMSA's sample only has the section that was used by WJLA). Have any of you here ever listened to it all the way through? Pay attention to the last section, starting when the announcer comes in around 2:20, all the way to the end. I'm now convinced that Tuesday2 was, shall we say, "inspired by" African Suite.

 4. That and the fact that their ratings have basically been flat for the last several sweeps periods. It's a problem that not even Nexstar has been able to solve.

 6. KLAS's new lifestyle show is running into problems before its debut: http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2017/2/2/vegas-anchor-quits-before-newscast-even-launches

 7. What is the show's usual out-time? If it's 10:55:XX, followed by an end break, it's possible the commercial server crashed. Tribune stations are hubbed, so if the master control operator that's running six or eight stations is busy, it can take a few minutes to switch over to the back-up. A commercial server or spot machine crash has happened to every producer and director at some time or another. But hubs and automation have taken the ability to recover away from the control room.

 9. Yeah right, they have never been outside a distant fourth place in ratings...

 10. I just checked out the livestream replays for at least four different ex-MG markets, and each one is using their new, customized close tag this morning. (I'm guessing the sale/consummation was at 11:59pm last night since none of them used it on their 11pm shows). I screencap'd WAVY's from their morning show this am Anyway, I guess we figured out what they've been doing for the last year...

 11. Which also means Nexstar can start using this at the end of every newscast at all of their stations (or something similar to fit each market): EDIT: Looks like I was right on the latter. The new copyright close has been customized for each market.
