1. I thought this was funny. Apparently, WKBN wasn't first in reporting Trump's upcoming visit to Youngstown, as The Vindicator newspaper tweeted. (from yesterday)

 3. No, really, could you please stop? We know where you stand. It's okay to disagree about facts, just ask the president.

 4. Oh yeeeeah and gotta love the line following that about "your boss" will appreciate being able to rack up more bonus points/card rewards or something to that effect on their personal cards due to them helping the "poor, lowly" employee out. He didn't say poor or lowly but it's probably true that regular employees don't have the means to afford much working for that company. Basically soon, there will be plenty of managers with even higher credit scores and purchasing power due to this Mickey Mouse way of doing things. It was such a wink wink, nod nod gesture directed towards his top managers and he didn't even try and hide it. Haaa

 5. The "local(s)" at Nexstar soon may be... NABET/CWA Local ## IATSE Local ## IBEW ## Riddle: What did the Nexstar TV Reporter say to the McDonalds Fry Girl??? Answer (TV Reporter) "Wow I wish made $12 per hour and got 40 hours per week... like you do." The chances of any union affecting Nexstar are pretty slim considering the status of the broadcast unions...but one can wish.

 6. All in all, a big step down for the ex MG/Lin/Young stations. Lots of the word LOCAL tossed in for fluff and added creative flair. Wonder if Mardek1995 wrote the script for this??!? What a mess of an introduction for the newly acquired stations, as the standards of taking care of employees, definitely goes down. No surprise over the big step down. No employee stock option plans, less 401K employer match, less vacation time, lots of conforming to Nexstar guidelines... but moooooore SICK time! Employees will probably need to use every bit of that working for this company. If all else fails, just stumble around and chant local, Local, LOCAL a few times and things will magically appear to look up in your life! The smart ones will find a better company to work for or get out of the business.

 8. It isn't a conspiracy that Donald Trump is extremely unpopular and that his inauguration was the least attended in years, IT IS A FACT. Stop being so sensitive about this fact, you're being as childish and petty as Trump

 9. People are flipping their shit because of a picture of the inauguration crowd size and the perception of media deception/bias, yet these same people were the ones that fueled the whole birther movement. Hipocrisy at its finest...

 10. yeah. i usually see Stephen Arnold as the softer rock type news music compared to 615's "Epic thriller movie" type news music and Gari's Magical, majestic type news music.

 11. Yes they are and they haven't left the newsroom since that set.. They've just been pushed into a corner of the newsroom and moved around the newsroom for backdrop of various newsroom camera shots. Attached file to fulfill your nostalgia needs.. The original FX Group design as it looked from 1997-1999.. Complete with unnecessary white computer keyboards connected to nothing under the FOX News logos.

 14. Hah! I looked up that registration and it actually belongs to one Phoenix-based Danzeisen Dairy. The accompanying drawing (more like a script typeface) appears on their milk bottles. They have some special edition bottles including Arizona Cardinals ones, too. They're pretty cool because they are a startup basically, bottling milk in *glass* bottles which pretty much hadn't happened in the Valley in decades. They have all this old equipment and whatnot. If Nexstar did operate a dairy, however, it'd be appropriate. They kind of stink.

 16. I just uploaded this one. Eyewitness News (TEN10) weekend coverage of Sydney fires in '94. If interested, features some pretty stunning reporting from Damian Ryan in the center of a firestorm. He's now a veteran with 9. Includes edits (I was a kid always changing the channel!)

 18. I'll be curious to see what becomes of the Spectrum auction. There are lots of opportunities for frequency consolidation and for a shell to step up and "take over" a station or two. That's probably why Cunningham has a website and Deerfield looks to have one in the works....

 21. Looking at that makes me wanna throw up. I don't even know how Nexstar will pay to operate all of them on a daily basis, not to mention vacations and benefits will be cut. I'm so glad my home market (Miami) nor Orlando are involved in this.

 22. And if the reheating of "Pizzagate" wasn't enough.... WGCL 46 CBS Atlanta's "embarrassment of the month" is at it again saying that ISIS was a creation of the government...And he needs $50,000 to tell us how! Here's the story from FTVLive http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2017/1/25/atlanta-reporter-the-us-government-intentionally-created-isis I only hope that he signed a hell of a contract with Meredith so Sinclair doesn't get a hold of this wacko.....
