  1. Heads up, Raleigh now has three noon newscasts for ONE HOUR thanks to WNCN 17, the CBS affiliate (former NBC). They just did a strange thing to a Nexstar Media General, it expanded from 30-minutes to one full-hour. The Young and the Restless has been at 4pm in the Triangle since 1993 back when CBS was with WRAL 5. But it’s not the only newscast change, but KMAX 31 in Sacramento is moving it’s 11pm newscast to sister station KOVE 13 to follow the hour-long 10:00 news, the only CBS O&O station to do so. KOVR hasn’t had an 11pm since 2005 after Sinclair bought the station to CBS. So the station will have an 11:00pm news 7 days a week, not just on weeknights. https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2018/07/31/small-minor-newscast-changes-221/

  4. Telemundo Contract Date: 07-22-2018 9:43 AM - Word Count: 192 Telemundo Contract SAG-AFTRA Approves Contracts For Telemundo; Non-Primetime Programming LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The Screen Actors Guild's national board has unanimously approved its first-ever tentative agreement with Telemundo Television Studios covering Spanish-language television performers, union officials announced. The three-year agreement reached Saturday follows 15 months of negotiations. Under the contract, Telemundo talent will contribute to and participate in the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan and SAG-Producers Pension Plan for the first time. They will also receive residuals for foreign and domestic programming and streaming platforms, based on a percentage of Telemundo's gross receipts. Also for the first time, Telemundo performers will be guaranteed minimum salaries and annual increases. Telemundo is the largest employer of Spanish-language talent in the United States. It's new contract goes into effect immediately. In addition to the Spanish media pact, the SAG-AFTRA board also overwhelmingly approved a new network contract covering a wide range of non- primetime programs that air on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox networks. This includes soap operas, game shows, talk shows and quiz shows, as well as sports and variety shows. That tentative agreement must go to the union's full membership for final ratification.
