  1. They haven't lost a step. They should bring them back.

  2. I'd hardly call FTVLive reliable source at this point considering we here at TVNT tend to get things before he does most of the time. Just need Brian Stelter and Howard Kurtz at the helm and you'd have an all out circus.

  3. Congrats to Lester Holt for being the most trusted news anchor in America. I think most viewers already knew he was trustworthy but in the age of ideological hyperpolitics, cat fighting, verbal fights and disillusionment. Lester Holt showed who he is, he is the only anchor who kept his dignity in tact and never resorted to losing who he is as a journalist. I have been saying on this forum for the last year, that Lester is by far NBC's greatest stability force and gem. He is more valuable then most of the hosts on the network. Majority of viewers know this. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/who-are-americas-trusted-tv-news-anchors-poll-1160597

  8. So, why do you think his ratings are low?

  9. That was pathetic. Lester is NOT amazing. Both the viewers need to stop tuning in NBC, and think from Comcast why his ratings are low each year. No more Lester.

  10. I saw the special 50th anniversary reporting they aired at the end of the 5pm — that was great! I wish/hope there’s an extended one that is published online with all the people they caught up with and with longer commentary. (So nice to see and hear from Roz!) And the 6pm broadcast ended with Bill Beutel’s “Final Thought” segment that he filed a few days after 9/11. And they let the broadcast end — without the current anchors’ sign off — right after Bill Beutel’s signature line, “I’m Bill Beutel. Good luck and be well.” Classy.

  11. They just had a ~5 minute tribute video. I hope they post the full interviews, but we got in no particular order: Al Primo, Roz Abrams, Geraldo Rivera, John Johnson, Doug Johnson, Sam Champion, Bill Ritter, NJ Burkett, Tim Fleischer, Diana Williams and Jim Dolan basically be the narration of the group. The voices of Roger Grimsby and Bill Beutel are the intro and the outro. Also were various shots of the late Will Spens, Gloria Rojas, Milton Lewis

  12. Thank God! That 11 pm experiment was awful. In a market like Atlanta, a traditional newscast works best especially in the evening.

  19. I don't know why the commenters on this thread are so negative about CBS 3. We watch CBS 3 at 6 and 11 about 85% of the time, 6 ABC about 15% of the time, NBC 10 almost never and FOX 29 never. I almost never watch the morning news on any station, except maybe 6 ABC on weekends, and then only rarely.

  20. This video is nothing special, but it features an extremely rare station id of WUNI-TV Univision 27. Circa 1993. It's very rare to see a Univision station ID this early from a non-O&O even in this 1992-1993 mandated Univision station ID graphics.

  21. Looks like Mel Wheeler is out of the TV business...all that's left is a group of Radio stations in Roanoke, VA. IIRC, they were the co-founders of WEAR in Pensacola and the second owner of WJDM Channel 7 in Panama City....before selling to James Harrison Gray, as WJHG.
