  1. I truly don't know how PYCCO (The Coast) survived that long. It was a package behind the 8-ball when WDEF picked it up in 1995!

  2. Ow, that is one cheap look for 1997...then again it is Park. The MG standardization was one heck of an upgrade for several of his stations...

  5. Never thought I'd hear Get it On as a news theme! If you've got over 4 hours to kill, why don't you watch this morning aircheck of WTVC from December 18, 2006? It contains a complete episode of GMA (with a WTVC update at 25 minutes in using their cuts of Chroma Cues), Live With Regis & Kelly (with Sylvester Stalone and Bow-Wow), Martha Stewart (a Christmas themed show, she also shows us some of the crafts she made in jail!) and the first segment of The View (with Rosie O'Donell on the panel, and long before the constant cast turnover). Enjoy!

  8. They're using RAI Due's news theme! (Or rather, Italy's RAI Due used this music a few years later.)

  10. And yet Park dumped tons of resources into its Virginia outlets... Posting this because KSL is legit one of the best TV stations ever. Next week... Viva Las Vegas!

  11. Don't think I've seen a non NBC station use that NBC style of Helvetica in its Chyrons (the slightly expanded letters that were used on just about everything that originated in Burbank or NY for a while). I'm guessing it wasn't unique to NBC - they just used it a lot - from KNBC to Scrabble to NBC News to Late Night.

  12. A WPVI 5:00 promo using The Vogues’ song “Five O’Clock World.” Fitting.

  13. It's uploaded on fair use grounds anyway, so no one person can claim ownership to upload it in the same realm as the original copyright owner cannot (or should not) take down a video without proving the uploader has profited from it in violation of their copyright outside the grounds of fair use.
