I just have found a very rare news open of WLNE from 1994-1995 (skip to 5:03).

Crap, Tribune has several fossils at KFOR, they can clean house there.

According to FTVLive, Thompson, Wallace and Lamb are out!! Tribune has been offering buyouts to some of their higher price talent. At Kansas City’s WDAF, sources tell FTVLive that a number of staffers have accepted the buyouts and will be leaving the station. Sources say that longtime WDAF Meteorologist Mike Thompson, along with longtime sports director Al Wallace and longtime sports reporter Jason Lamb have all accepted the buyots. It appears that WDAF will have no sports department as of Dec. 31st with the loss of Wllace and Lamb.

Sinclair has become a four-letter word in professional journalism. I think they are having trouble filling a lot of jobs due to lack of interest. I don't think ANYONE believes them...this is pure damage control and nothing else. Probably getting smackdowns from Cordillera, and presumably Cox, are hurting their feelings as well.

WUAB TV turned 50 this year so what do you to celebrate? Bring back the original 10 Clock news to anchor the news. Minus the late Gib Shanley. Enjoy the retro open rewind.

And don't forget Channel 3 (yes we've seen this open before - but it's a classic). That KXTV set is different from the one from the 1989 earthquake footage (and they changed up everything again in 1990 with the new station logo). What a revolving door of image for KXTV and KOVR. When you're up against reporters like Mike Boyd on the street there's really not much chance for them.
