  1. Interesting news today: Fox 29 is moving their locally produced game show, The ClassH-Room, to 6:30pm weeknights starting March 4. Episode here if you want to see: Either the show is doing really well at noon, or it’s a cheaper alternative to Page Six TV. Either way it’s actually nice to see. It’s good to see a local station produce more than dozens of hours of news.

  2. I’m thinking it might be just to get some more eyeballs on the show - or at least eyeballs from its intended audience, who I strongly suspect can’t check out the show at midday because they’re at school or parents are at work.

  3. That’s almost as good as an all Dave (Solo anchor/weather/sports) newscast on WXYZ a few years ago on a Saturday night...

  4. I will miss Rich... Poor guy got pretty beat-up emotionally lately with the passing of Van Amburg, the suicide of Cumulus/ KGO-AM810, and finally the passing last year of his mother. It's hard to make money off a local blog. He gave it a good go and got some juicy exclusives... and he sure pissed off some folks. I hope he comes over here and joins us at TVNT. 5. For the second time in over three years, KITV in Hawaii will be airing the 91st Academy Awards live at 3pm Hawaii Time. They first aired the broadcast live in 2016. But in the last two years, they went back to airing the broadcast tape-delayed at 7pm local time.

  6. ....and then, no sooner that the rear monitor is impacted, he goes and sits down on his tablet! Is he really trying for 2-in-a-row? Glad I don't have to replace that monitor.

  7. Actually I've discovered that all CBS O&Os are doing it. Except KYW and WBBM.

  8. Btw, this was 1989. Here's 2018 showing you what Monika Deol has been up to since leaving television at the top of her game...

  9. More from this channel - WHOA! ‘DEF picked up Counterpoint in early ‘96?! Then that means they used PYCCO afterward, and THEN reverted to Counterpoint AGAIN in ‘98? Shes also got some WYFF work as well (their very first “News 4” era!)

  10. !!! Some OKC stuff from April 1997, including a cleaner look at KOCO’s and KFOR’s opens, as well as some KOKH, which we already had. Some San Francisco news opens that unfortunately are covering up by control room audio:

  11. CBS makes a bit of money with WWJ, seeing as they can run it as a simple pass-through. If they hadn’t been turning some sort of a profit, CBS would have unloaded it long ago and wiped their hands of that mess...

  12. Let’s remember having news drives viewers. Look at WWJ in Detroit, they don’t do news and it’s an after thought.
