  1. Did somebody want All The News... and almost two minutes of it? Aside from an announcer spiel towards the end you gotta love the instrumental:

  5. Yes, you’ll need to watch it on a desktop with Adobe Flash. If only I knew how to rip it to mp4 and put it on Youtube.

  6. I don't think WGN used their own Skycam9 for the coverage. I say ths because WMAQ uploaded their raw footage of the chase, which was the same feed WGN used.

  11. May she rest in peace... this is the newscast that's closest to my birth date online (I was born the day before) so this is cool to see. On a random search in the Web Archive, I found some interesting WJZ Stuff: https://archive.org/details/WJZ-EYE-002-019 - December 17, 1977 Eyewitness News - Oprah's not happy about something before she does her tease, one of the last news opens with the "WJZ 1975 News Theme" https://archive.org/details/WJZ-EYE-002-018 - December 19, 1977 Eyewitness News - The noon newscast here is the last with the theme, which features a long close. The debut of a new set and a new theme (Telesound's "Number Thirteen") is midway through the video.

  12. WTVD 11 News Nightwatch late edition, for Wed. May 13, 1992 (has Miriam Thomas and the late Larry Stogner on news, Mike Caplan w/Accu-Weather, and Drew Smith on sports; opening here is something that The ID Junkie could possibly use for a WTVD opens revision)

  13. Jill Franco Miller (formerly of WCBD Channel 2 in Charleston) has passed on at 66 (just heard about it a few minutes ago). Obit: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/charleston/obituary.aspx?n=jill-franco-miller&pid=196220663&fhid=6307 And the evening edition of what was then TV-2 Eyewitness News, for Friday, June 13, 1986 (Jill was only 32 here):

  14. WJXX 1997, before their full-scale news department launched there was this. ABC 25 Tonight. Plus you'll get to see the construction of the then-new home of WJXX that sadly didn't last very long.
