  1. You should've done a grab on that L3. The font they use is hideous......

  2. She did a facebook video about it and Karyn in her later 50s and I'm glad she gets to keep anchoring noon news & and doing other things. She started at 46 when it was WGNX as Indy/CBS for 10 years. Jump over to WXIA/11 for another 16 yrs and back at 46. WGCL/CBS46 has either tied with 11ALIVE or beating them. There alot of things 46 can do to overtake 11 in other time slots. Karyn been in the market since 1988 for over 30 years,

  3. I'm happy for Karyn she's been in Atlanta for quite some time. She knows the landscape of that market. 2 other tid bits about WGCL 1. They'll be revealing their new, redesigned news set next week 2. I heard that Fred Campagna might be getting moved to the weekend meteorologist anchor spot.

  4. I’m sorry Ryan but the standard font is so much better than Arial that’s being used. It’s a soft launch meaning a test.

  5. That open is absolutely ridiculous. The logo outline is very unsightly. And the L3 font is ridiculous, even by the standards of this graphics pkg.

  6. UPDATE: It's a soft launch tonight, only for a "sneak peak" (plus a quick look at the opening) woman_injured_after_southeast_memphis_shooting___localmemphis.com_-_Google_Chrome_2020-10-11_22-44-02.mp4

  8. Shockingly, Griffin's KWTV/KSBI isn't among that group. I think they must be waiting for Tulsa to join the ATSC 3.0 bandwagon before they too join the bandwagon.

  9. Getting back to WSFL, I hope their morning news has the vibe like the Good Day format that can be found on most of the Fox O&O’s. You know I actually find it appalling that Miami has only one English language choice for local news from 7-9am, Hard News, and no other alternative. Apparently, to me, WBFS and pre-Scripps WSFL were not willing to compete and provide an English language lighter option. If WBFS were to have one, of course it would be from WFOR. I mean, imagine living in Miami, raising children waiting to go to school, and it was around 7:30am. You want to watch local news in English. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with the compelling newscast that is Today in Florida on WSVN. This is why I’m hopeful that WSFL in ‘21 will provide audiences with a lighter alternative from 7-10am, along with the 4-7am portion, of course.

  10. Not classic video related, but I believe i might actually be related to Tim Lake. He grew up in Ellisburg, a rural town up north in NY by Watertown, which is where the majority of my family came from. Don’t know for sure. I do know for sure that I can add this to the Houston bandwagon: https://youtu.be/jKpmtR3EzSo

  12. A bit vague, and I think any changes are a year or so down the line. But it's about time CBS overhauled their O&O look. Compared to their network counterparts, they are quite lackluster. Personally, I hope the CBS Sports package survives the updates. I enjoy it. Everything else? Let's give it a once (or twice) over.

  16. She had such a sweet, bubbly personality and 100-watt smile that made even the reports of bad weather seem good to hear. She will most definitely be missed in Market #4, but all the best to her in L.A. Thank you, Melissa Magee.

  17. WATN officially switched over to the full TEGNA graphics as of tonight. Note: The live stream is currently down, so I can't record.
